It's just a shortcut to kick the game off in wine. I have a number of those in my library. I like them because they add the steam overlay to the game so I can use its features especially the screenshot feature/management.

I'm running the game through steam on a GTX 760 with the NVIDIA 352.09 driver and I don't get that smooth a run. Any tips on improving performance?

It looks amazing. I have an AMD card and I get about 45 fps when running this game. I'm using Arch with e17.

I have vsync enabled so the FPS is a steady 60fps.
