I know this isn't a direct competitor to the Lexus LC 500 in terms of power, but the design of this just speaks to me that their designers aren't thinking out of the box, when compared to the Lexus.

Two different demographics the cars are being offered for. In the high end coupe range the LC500 is going for, it can try to be as luxurious, and over styled as it possibly could be without drawing potential customers away, with the price this car is going to cost. The Q60, however, is in a tougher competition where the more simple, and blander, some would say, German coupes run the segment. This car needs to be completely different and interesting to look at, have great performance, and have luxurious amenities and quality, all while being at a price that just undercuts its competition in order to be successful. Which I think they have completed half of that without serious tests or reviews yet.

+Eric F true about the MPG I owned a 12' Nissan frontier, and that thing was a thirsty beast! Great little truck otherwise.

+MrJrod899 back then, yeah probably, but very inefficient (mpg), i think they were good, but dated, just like the subarus, they need to update their STi 2.5 one. we used to have a g35, and were thinking about getting a new infiniti, now that they have a new engine, we may have to look into it again.

+channelnicky Apparently you don't know about limited production model. They planned to make 500 of them and they just did that as planned. It was basically all hand made and not any kind of mass production model anyway.By the way, LC500 is a mass production car and will be sold at like 100K. It is not any kind of cheap car but it will sell. Why?　Because some people don't like it, like you do but many people like it, like wrxfan himself does. This car on the other hand seems like having no edge, I don't think many people will hate it, but there will be very few who like it enough to throw serious amount of money at. From top to bottom, it's a so-so car.

I think this new 2017 Infiniti Q60 coupe share the same platform as the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-class Coupe ( https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/future/model/model-All_New_2017_C_Coupe), like what Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz did with their new Q30 and the GLA-class. Moreover, a few of the most visual distinctive aspects of it (2017 Infiniti Q60 coupe) that it has a Mercedes-Benz DNA is the styling at the side and rear end, and its steering wheel (CLA and GLA 2014 steering wheel style). What I don't like is the new "PLASTIC" paddle shifters. Please bring back the magnesium paddle shifters #InfinitiUSA. I think we would definitely see more of this collaboration between Renault-Nissan and Daimler (Mercedes-Benz).
