About the DMV, I believe they are getting strict again because of 9/11. Yes, that was so many years ago but you know how that goes. It's kinda how banks used to take social security cards as a form of ID pre 9/11. Now they don't cause the hijackers of the planes was able to get into flight classes with stolen social security numbers. Fred Meyers is very famous for taking money and saying that it's our banks fault. Fred Meyers in Tualatin tried to do the run around with me too.

@TheNotoriouSVJ Oh you better believe it. It took over 2 months and working with my bank getting statements that it wasn't my fault that money was missing. Then another two months working with Kroger corporate as they investigated the charge and video tapes. Finally when they saw that their cashier was doing it to multiple customers they fired the worker (well duhhhh) and refunded my money onto my debit card. Now, I REALLY check my receipt or pay for my stuff in cash.

I used my debit card to purchase groceries then asked for money back. I asked for $40 cash back. I got my statement and it said that I asked for $60. First of all, where did the other $20 go? I had investigators involved and it went all the way to the corporate big wigs watching security tapes. They caught the person pocketing the extra $20. It was part my fault for not paying attention to my receipt but hey, it's still my money.

Good for you for doing the right thing!! And shame on Fred Meyer. I work retail and I must say that most people are blind to what they are being charged. More and more of my customers don't even want a receipt. Sending prayers of peace to your friend ♥

@TheNotoriouSVJ YES! Keep the good fight going. There are many things that I don't like about Fred Meyers but it's so little, but then I realized all the little things become big things.
