David. I had same issue. Think you can only set those settings with engine on. Thinking about it that makes sense. Ie the radar unit needs to be active to change settings. Certainly worked for me and I had exactly same issue. With engine on all settings stay as selected and remain as set at next startup.

They told me that I needed a "new head unit" which they ordered but I have not been back yet to have it installed. There are now two more recalls that need to be performed so I guess I will take it in and see what happens. I will let you know, hopefully in the next several weeks.

Did you ever get this resolved? I just had my GC updated with new software, and I get the exact same behavior.
