RE-PUBLISHED (original date: October 21, 2011) -- //MovingPostcard.com -- This week I was invited to show my "In A Berlin Minute" videos in Chicago ...
Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam - 2007 - Full Album
I know there've been several comments asking why Safer was included in the album, when normally it's not on it. The reasoning was fairly simple: I discovered ...
In Reverend Green, after the "Now I think that's a riot" what is he saying?
I looked it up and I don't see any lyrics for that part between "a riot" to
"A running child's bloody..."
+Amanda Baracos Now I think it's the best we've ever played itNow I think that's a riotNow I think it's alright to feel inhumanNow I think that's a riotNow I think it's alright we'll sing togetherNow I think that's a riot
+PeachFrost its crazy I used to associate this band with drugs all the time, and now I can't even see the drug side of this music, you can make experimental avant garde music without taking drugs, the band is definitely druggy tho but why? Pink Floyd had similar accusations that they were a drug oriented group, come on everyone takes drugs at one point or another but its not like the music is about drugs, life itself is a trip
"hahaha hey dude"
"the fuck you want Noah"
"dude look hahaha fucking strawberries"
"noah are you ok"
"we should make an album that sounds like that hahaha"
"dude noah you'RE A FUCKING GENIUS, MAN"
"dude weed lmao hahaha"
making some jam and thought I'd play this. Two things though, first of all
"Feels" is a far superior album to make to, and secondly I'm making
BlackBerry jam, so I'm some sort of charlatan.
1: Sung Tongs is their masterpiece followed by
2: MPP
3: Feels
4: Strawberry
5: Fall be Kind
6: Campfire Songs
7: Centipede
8: Spirit (for Alvin row alone really)
9: Prospect Hummer
10: ODDSAC
There are numerous other little EPs and stuff, that are good but not as
much as these 10. Danse manatee was a disaster, it will not be included on
any list of mine ever.
+silverblaize yeah I agree they're in a similar style, the first three songs on campfire are fantastic but the last two kinda fall apart for me. But yeah, sung tongs is flawless on every track, it's so good.
+maia halcyon Sorry for the late response. Try out Ty Segall, FIDLAR, Black Lips, Plague Vendor, FUZZ, Dune Rats, Girl Band, The Vandelles, etc. Let me know what you think!!
Soooo incredible! Been waiting for over 20 years for a band like this to come along. So much energy and honest passion here. This is what rock and roll should be. If there was any justice in the world and people actually still cared about real music this band would be HUGE right now. Ive been listening to the songs that comprise annabel for a lil over a year now, and they still sound as good as the first time. Not many albums out there like that. I just cannot wait to hear what comes next, very exciting! As for what genre this sound falls under i say who cares? It rocks and that is all that matters, quit trying to pick it apart and just enjoy. Everything is influenced by something, the influences i can hear are among the best of the best but this is clearly something unique, its own monster, a huge step in the right direction. My only real questions is why did it take so long and may i have another please? Sincere thanks to the Wytches for creating something so beautiful, keep it up guys!
+Fox Fields No doubt you realise they sound like a ton of stuff. From Nirvana, ofc, to the Pixies, The Offspring, The Vines, the Doors, the Black Keys... Damn they rock...
