@soundmancaraudio I think he is referring to the overall look of the
finished product. Hell, they do a MUCH cleaner job than alot of the shops i
know of, very nice custom work, and the paint always matches. Not sure why
your buggin over it being an expensive car, your just adding to it. And
obviously if its being put together, the person wanted it.
Hey guys, maybe you can give me an advice. I have a MTX 250W rms
subwoofer, mounted in it's original box, but i wanna mount 2 of these JL
subs on the back, under the rear window. It will be any problem if i wont
make a box, and use the trunk as box? Thank you
This is the video that made me a fan of the soundman! I saw this months ago
and it helped me build a fiberglass sealed encloser for 2 10 inch subs.
Thank You Doug Spoon and Allen.

MERCEDES E-CLASS JL AUDIO ICE CAR AUDIO INSTALL
Heres another short video of another project where I applied the experience gained from the Mk2 golf to undertake this complete overhaul of my old mercedes ...
Get a closer look at the JL Audio W6v3 car subwoofers. It effectively embodies many of JL Audio's great patented technology setting it up as another one of their ...
+jody024 I am a huge fan of Focal's mids and highs and have heard a few Focal subs in the past. Which one are you comparing to the w6? Not disagreeing with you, just curious...
Probably the best sounding car subwoofers in existence. One day I would
like to hear the W7 in a sound quality setup also. Am I the only one who
feels like the W7 needs an overhaul, especially at its price?
+jose luis ruiz "But again everyone has a specific brand they like and will stick with."The problem is that I don't. I really love JL, but for the performance against the competition, I simply can't justify them anymore. My SA-12 wiped the floor with my W6v3 both in terms of SQ and the W6v3 gets nowhere near the SA-12 in terms of SPL ... and the JL audio cost me more than 2.5 times the price of the SA-12. I can by a peerless XLS 10 from ebay.co.uk for around £70 and the equivalent 10W3v3 cost £240. The 10w3 (I've also owned) comes nowhere near the Peerless in any respect. I know others might have a "Kicker or Rockford" love for brands, I don't. Any brand in isolation sounds good, but once you start comparing things go wrong and quickly, and for me, JL subs are simply not worth thinking about on any level. I wish it were different, but it's not.
+Isaiah Gonzales Used to run 2 IDQ10s in two ohms stereo back in the late 90's. Accuracy and definition were top notch but not as fun to listen to as my JL w1s. JL seemed to have more "texture" and shook the car harder. Would love to have an IDMAX 10 to play with too!
I see your point. Everyone has a brand they like, i would never run sundown since everyone does recone kits on that brand alot so i just dont see them reliable but thats just my prefrence but I had plans on running Fi but since the boss from Fi was an ass hole with me when I emailed a question about one of the subs I was interested in I just said fuck it. Ill buy something else Lol!
+jose luis ruiz I'd probably run a Fi SP4 but from those you listed it'd be Sundown because they're more for spl than anything else but if I was doing an SQ system it'd be Image Dynamics
Not really,I think if the 13w7 could do 2200 to 2500 rms, 12w7 do 2000 or 1500 rms, 10w7 do 1000 rms or if my 8w7 could do 750 rms at the $400 bucks I paid for it then that's a hell of a good price for a sexy looking subwoofer that was made in the USA. But The most I can honestly push on my 8w7AE daily is 600rms anything more and it will bottom out. Even the Digital Designs 8 inch with the lanzar surround cost the same and does the same 500rms as the 8w7. The skar zvx 8 priced and $230 last time i bought one claims to do 900 rms but burned out on me with 625 rms watts. So far this sub has been doing well for me. But again everyone has a specific brand they like and will stick with. It's like say if you had a choice to pick one sub woofer, let's say the w7 vs Digital designs, DC, ct sounds and a sundown. And all 5 cost the same and do the exact power which o e would you get?
I have the 8w7AE and love it but I wish it could do at least 800 rms. other people throw in my face how much the sundown X8 can do and yhe ct sound meso 8 as well even the new 8 inch sub from Hertz with the 5 inch voice coil can do 700 rms and cost less then my 8w7 :/ but I still love the little bastard. but room for improvement and kept at the same price would be great!
+Bassmasterz En este video utilizo las que vienen cuando compre el coche , pero en los nuevos videos que estoy subiendo uso unos medios de 6,5 pulgadas de 150 rms .
