OTA Class of 2005 Video, Part 1
Functional Active Range of Motion, Functional Manual Muscle, and Passive Range of Motion Tests conducted by students of the Occupational Therapy Program ...
I'm a COTA/L and am in my second year of work in school based and early
intervention...just got my first and only kid added to my caseload who I
need to do PROM with and it's been about 3 years since I was exposed to it
so I came across your video looking for a refresher :-) it was uploaded on
my birthday too- thanks so much! Hope you're all in the field being awesome
:-) xoxo Much love & God bless
Hallo! Really great work for someone but for there are some mistakes 1 When
you show AROM pronation/supination actually she make internal/external
rotation in shoulder 2 for last mmt the patient make not only internal
rotation but and extension All the best and keep going !!!
I am an OTA student and we were taught that you don't apply resistance
unless the patient is able to give you the full ROM? in the video during
shoulder Flexion she didn't go the full range.
Thanks so much for this video class of 2005! This is going to be such a
great study aid. Come back and see us and let us know how life is AFTER
school. Robin W. OT Class of 2010
Thanks for creating a great learning resource. I notice that most of the
information is exactly as found in Radomsky & Trombly (6th edition).
However I notice that you differ in the way that you measured Shoulder
Horizontal Abduction and is the same as the Pedretti text. Which text did
you refer to as I'd like to show this to my students for practice.
Very helpful. This is exactly what I was looking for to review. I believe
as professionals we already know that joints should be stabilized,
movements should be done passively, etc etc. The information that was given
in this video was outstanding and will be utilized along side of my own
knowledge.
Hello everyone. Great movie. My close friend was formerly a fatty. He went
from 290lbs of fat to 216lbs of genuine muscle mass. We thought it was
remarkable! I just subscribed myself as I wanna beef up. He used the Muscle
Building Bible (Look in Google)...
Hi Anita, I'm a student in this program now, and we are using the Physical
Dysfunction Practice Skills for the Occupational Therapy Assistant, 2nd
edition by Mary Beth Early. ISBN: 0323031889
good video. but for shoulder extension, subject's elbow should be flexed to
prevent passive insufficiency of biceps brachii, which may in turn limit
the ROM.
