Watch Next Ep. Here: //goo.gl/Lt2602 We head back to Silicon Valley to drive Tesla Motors' long awaited Model S. This all-electric sports sedan pairs a ...
These modules are based around what Nissan claims how much module
replacement would cost for its LEAF. It's nothing to worry, old Priuses and
RAV4 EVs have been running for nearly a decade with more than 200,000
miles. The thing about those vehicles are that both use a less advanced
Nickel Metal Hydride chemisty. Lithium-Ion batteries have tested to charge
and discharge more, that means a longer life, but cars with this chemistry
haven't been long enough on the road to prove their reliability.
I sat in one of these this past Saturday and had the opportunity to observe
exactly just how this amazing car operates. Everything computerized,
touchscreen controls, NO ENGINE NOISE. I also got to look at the electric
engine. And that's just what it looks like, a cylinder-shaped magnet
wrapped in copper coils, very small too. TESLA sends someone to your home
to teach you how to operate this vehicle, since it is a revolutionary
change in the automotive field. Sweet! I want one (in green).
8 years is the warranty, unlike VW, most cars still operate after their
warranty expires. People are worried about capacity after a decade or so.
At the moment, there has been little to none battery issues to older cars
like the Toyota RAV4 EV or Prius. If something does go rotten with the
battery after its warranty, the most realistic way of fixing it is by
testing each module in the pack and replace the faulty battery module with
a new one. Modules cost around $200 - 400 nowadays.
In reality, this car matches its EPA-rated range of 265 miles pretty well.
Motortrend got a 0-60 in 3.9 sec. in a fully loaded car with every weight
adding option. Imagine how fast the base Model S Performance is? It matches
the horsepower rating of the Lexus IS-F with 416, but has the acceleration
of the M5 which has 560 hp, 144 more than the Tesla.
I think it is better to do two batteries in the car. The first battery. The
basic charge for a network The second charge while driving the car. (and
gives a power reserve, free of charge themselves the same (motive time)

I'm really disappointed but I just found out that Engadget editors are a
part of the corrupt gamejournopros mailing list and that they released anti
gamer articles.... I enjoyed your videos but I'm going to have to unsub and
ensure I don't watch any more until you can ensure that corrupt and
nepotistic practises are no longer a part of engadget journalism.
everyone is saying "Pfff that is not the future, cars with pricetag of
fucking $100k" when you realize that tesla builds a gigafactory that will
build more batteries than any commercial production facilities we have on
earth combined. Now think again about the price in the coming 3-5 years..
You have no idea what you are talking about... If you live in USA that car is 100000$. Then it'll be 200000$ where I live, which is Denmark. Gonna buy it anyways though.
The only thing holding me back from wanting a tesla is the lack of choice
to buy a tesla without that huge touchscreen. I already have a premium
smartphone for maps and phone. I want actual buttons for AC and radio and
stuff.
The air conditioning buttons on the touchscreen are fixed at the bottom part of the screen. They don't go off even when something else is full screen like a web page or navigation map. Here is a 1 minute video://www.teslamotors.com/models/walkthrough/playlist#10The main reason for Tesla to have the big touchscreen is because they have free over-the-air updates in all Tesla Model S cars. There is no other car model that has this in all cars. You get free 3G connection and free updates. The interface is improved over time and new features are added. If you want to know more about what the touchscreen can you, here are a few videos on Tesla's website: //www.teslamotors.com/models/walkthroughIf you want to know what Tesla has added using over-the-air updates here is a list of changes: //www.teslamotorsclub.com/showwiki.php?title=Model+S+software+firmware+changelog
Tesla Model X Hands On | Engadget at NAIAS 2013
Here in Detroit at NAIAS the 2014 model year car is making another appearance, doors open and interior fully-functional. We couldn't resist hopping in there to ...
actually that was quite informative. it showed that the computer was
painfully slow (not just bandwidth) and you can look forward to a
ridiculous brower experience. my parents have a samsung 'smart' tv. even
thought it's top of the line the browser is so ridiculously slow with just
piss poor interface that it's essentially worse than if it wasn't there. if
that's the case in teslas then it's more of a gimmick than good
Yeah, nothing really new here. The UI is the same as S as far as anyone but
an S owner who is paying attention to every change in every update would
know. There are lots of videos showing the exterior and people driving
alpha runs of the X. Could do worse than to start at Tesla Motors' channel.
could have at least shows the seats.. the 3 row configurations... you
know.. the actual car.. instead of showing that it loads a certain
website... just saying
