Considering how much companies invest into making hybrids and EV's for the US market, how much the gov't promotes them, and the rising price of gasoline i wouldn't be surprised if hybrid sales started to take off within the next 7 years. However i do not think that hybrids and EV's will be a better choice than diesels.

Diesel!!! Ever since I heard the rumor that BMW will sell a Diesel 7 Series in 2014, I have been saving my pennies saving up for one. I just wish the offer a manual transmission with it.
