What Trump Gives Homeless Vets Instead Of Money
Donald Trump touts his support for veterans. But when his campaign was supposed to send funds to help homeless vets, they sent something else. Cenk Uygur ...
+funfunfun405 Look the difference between the people of this channel and Donald Trump is the fact that Trump actually tries to imply that he is helping out the vets and that he wants to help them once in the White house. But at the same time Trump's actions say otherwise.
(WARNING: TL;DR ahead - but give me a chance, eh? :)This is why Trump
continues to dominate - why many are stumped and fail to understand, time
and time again, is that every outburst, every accusation, every "oh no he
di'int!" move by Donald Trump is a calculated play. For example: Trump's
dismissive observation that Jeb is "low-energy" = immediately after, Jeb
Bush was suddenly bursting with energy, like a Red-Bull-chugging hype, and
in stark contrast to his typical measured and tempered demeanor. And even
more amazing is that the masses ate it up, willingly buying in, and what
none had even consciously noticed before was suddenly a glaring flaw.
That's just one of many attacks Trump has aimed at his rivals, and almost
every single one lands, some harder than others, forcing his prey to slam
on the brakes and focus their attention on dispelling Trump's often
ludicrous (yet incredibly effective and undeniably amusing)
assertions.Trump accusing Cruz of thievery and as a dirty trickster is
actually BRILLIANT. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. The media, as it
does every single time without fail, took the bait - and now headlines and
think-pieces everywhere will be trumpeting Trump's accusations of fraud.
The seed is planted - and Trump is a master gardener. After this news cycle
ends and moves on, most people will only retain the "Cruz is a fraud" part,
even if they don't believe it to be true; it'll still, even unconsciously,
be mulling around in their minds. And Trump has so much coverage, is so
well-known that those who still support him will continue to do so,
regardless of how he's covered. The man is a living suit of Teflon. And
those who are not currently supporting the Top 2 (Trump, Cruz), if and when
the time comes when their preferred candidate pulls out of the race, and
it's time to choose between the only ones left standing: Trump and Cruz
(and maybe Rubio) - by then will have all of these accusations and
perceived character flaws swimming around in their heads, brewing doubt,
taking form and shaping their opinions, giving Trump the edge he needs to
secure the nomination - and possibly - the election. You could write a book
about The Donald and his control over the press. Trump plays the media like
Meryl Streep plays, well, anything: like a savvy, sharp, intelligent and
shrewd businessman. Since the very beginning he has kept an iron grip on
the throne, surpassing expectations each and every time - continuing to
soar after every "THIS is the insult/accusation/racist remark that will be
his undoing!". Yes, he lost Iowa - but until right before the Iowa caucuses
he was never projected to be #1 (and don't forget: the last two Iowa
caucuses had Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee as the victors), so second
place isn't a bad spot to be at all. And keep in mind he's leading New
Hampshire by 25 points! The media is in a perpetual state of jaw-drop -
"b-but how is he still..." Because you're handing it to him! On a silver
platter he uses to toss the bones of his rivals on after he's done picking
his teeth with them. The irony of the constantly incredulous media is all
that much sweeter to Trump because, try as they might to dethrone him, they
lift him up with every story dedicated to him, even if it's (or, more
BECAUSE it's) scathing. Trump knows the hostile media is his the path to
victory. In fact if they by and large supported him, he'd be unable to
dominate, unable to win the support of angry, disenfranchised and
disenchanted voters. The harder they (the media, the establishment,
everyone really) try the more popular he becomes; the more controversial he
is, the more he sets himself apart from the establishment, the elite and
"politics as usual". I mean the fact that seemingly the entire world is
scrambling to destroy him and yet he STILL comes out on top of most polls
is only testament to his brilliance and savvy when it comes to manipulating
the media, destroying his detractors, honing his brand, and leaving
everyone else in the dust as he skips ahead merrily, brushing that dirt off
his shoulder.
+Seven DevilsMaybe, but when I see a person being manipulative like that to reach their end, it makes me uneasy about who they are. He only has a history of making money and looking out for himself. And I don't see empathy from him for anything other than wealth. He may have some ideas I agree with but frankly I don't trust him.
+boh7em I agree with that mostly. But there are many intelligent ppl who do like WHAT he's saying, just not HOW. I think if he gets the nom his tone will change dramatically. I also think he could defeat Sanders - but not Hillary. Unless her email scandal reveals something big, something charges could be filed on.
yup, pure shitbag.
but i will tell you... most vets eventually drink themselves retarded.
believe it, we had one as a tenant... i swear.. the most insufferable
self-entitled slob you ever known.
