It's always good to see Gary Snyder. It has taken me decades to listen to some of his best advice, such as stop living like an invader in the land. I think it was because he criticized the behavior so gently. I think he would be happier in this stage of life if he would embrace the light of his own culture, which often seems dark to highly intellectual, and globally aware folks.
