All Dunks from John Williams 2011 NCAA Dunk Contest
John Williams dunks from the dunk contest. To correct a statement made by the announcers: John has jumped over a fellow tall basketball player at UNC ...
@Jowen31491 obviously i am biased because i go to unca...but i still
believe there is something to be said for john's consistency in that he
made every dunk attempt first try and that he is only 6'4" and dunks like
the other big guys and still got absolutely no love from the crowd...you
could tell that the online hype of tucker took him all the way to winning
and i think they just wanted to see the first d3 dunker to make it, to win
it because it makes for a better story...i just dont agree
@Jowen31491 tucker didn't do any new dunks either...we had seen them all
from youtube before...the contest was rigged from the beginning so that
tucker would win and most all of the judges were in his favor....to be
honest there's no one whose not impressed by tucker's leaping ability but
he didn't really show us anything new and when he tried new stuff he
couldn't get it first try and then went to a backup dunk
@reefguysurf Yeah I think alot more people would be impressed with the
leaping abilty of Williams if Tucker wasn't there. I mean he's listed at
6'4" but before the contest the annoucers were saying he's really 6'2". So
he's only about 4 inches taller than Tucker. He got 44 inches of the floor
on that windmill elbow dunk and nobody seemed to care. It would have been a
50 if Tucker wasn't there.
@reefguysurf Yea, but Tucker's dunks were things we had seen on his video,
not in every dunk contest in the past 4 years like John's. Im not saying
John's dunks were not good, im just saying they were not as good as
Tucker's. I dont think anyone has done the candle one before, but that
still lacked some power...just didnt look good.
haha windmill elbow easily tops blake griffins, jacob tuckers 360 off the
side destroyed blake griffins windmill that took like 15 tries tucker did
in 1.. and these guys have a lot less size and time. NCAA dunk contest
straight up embaresses the NBAs. I love this
@reefguysurf The video did help, but by the crowds reaction about half
probably never seen the vid. Plus, the reason why John made all his dunks
is because all he did on every single dunk ,except one, was windmill.
