Using Hammers, Mallets and Dollies
In this episode, Mark from Natoli Panel Creations discusses some tips and concepts behind using Hammers, Mallets and Dollies for shaping metal. This video is ...
I appreciate the idea of converting odd shapes into hand dollies, but the
larger mounted anvil style...where do you find the larger pieces of metal,
and what and how do you mount them onto something that will insert into the
floor stand. also, I've been told not to make my wooden mallets out of
walnut because of cracking down the grain. What type of would are you using
in your mallets.
Hi +copper3019 I use hardwood timber mallet heads. Your local scrap metal dealer may have odd shaped things (such as old truck parts) that are suitable for what you're looking for. In regards to the stand, I have welded a square peg to the piece of metal, to hold it in the stand with a square hole.

+Renata Levy Hello Renata - Your comment was VERY good. I really appreciate your kind words and that you have found my channel and wanted to let me know a good tip. Wishing you very happy sewing - cindy
+VintageToNew Cindy, I hope I have not been unkind: I do not know to express myself correctly in English. But your dresses are so wonderful, that they deserve a first-rate finish. Congratulations on your beautiful work ...;)
+Renata Levy Hi Renata - Thank you so much for your suggestions. Yes both of those ideas are great. I find that beginner sewers need a little simplification and advanced sewers like yourself know all the tricks and can make the pattern their own. I really appreciate your watching and taking time to leave a great comment. Happy Sewing - Cindy
hi cindy . I just print out a pattern , the only thing I confuse is the
size of back pattern is bigger then the front .Is this correct or i print
it wrong
+Aminah Abdullah Hi Aminah - I'm sorry your message was marked as "spam" - I don't know why!! I just found it. Yes the back is bigger because it laps over for a back closure. You can do buttons or snaps. I hope that is helpful and I'm sorry it took me so long to reply. Happy Sewing - Cindy
+Aminah Abdullah Hi Aminah - That would be so wonderful. There is nothing better than a little handmade dress made by your Grandma!! Happy Sewing - Cindy
loved your tutorial so easy to follow and one point I'd like to say is your
sewing is beautiful. You do very neat sewing. Haven't seen a sailor dress
for years and years. Sure brings back memories. Thank you for sharing. Look
forward to watching another of your tutorials.
