I do know the difference between a single, double, and triple wall box, but
the employees that are inspecting the damaged packages don't know the
difference. They also can't tell the difference between new and used boxes.
When I worked for UPS I thought that if it was insured, it was paid for,
unless it really was packaged poorly. I now see that they use this as a way
to control costs. They make the whole process a pain and then refuse about
50% of our claims. They make it difficult on purpose.
hahaha you try being under paid for the work your doing and try having a
nice attitude. 20 bucks and hour tor drive to peoples house lifting there
heavy ass shit and bringing it to them only for them to complain that the
cardboard is slightly ripped from somthing that cant be avoided and you
didnt do how about you go fuck your self and if i find out who you are ill
make sure you never get a delivery from ups fedex or dhl because i have
friends that work in all three places all over the U.S
Working at UPS you see alot of different packing styles, and companies like
amazon, QVC, omaha steaks etc all know exactly how to pack shit up right
and never comes damaged. USPS has like 5-20 packages a day, FEDEX express
is almost nothing but envelopes and small stuff, UPS on the other hand
sends something like 200,000 trucks out a day with 200-500 packages. And
when theres a misroute/missort I promise you that the UPS guy who had to
digg it out it more pisses then anyone eles.
I thought UPS was as good, or better than other shippers, but my experience
and those of others shippers I know don't agree. I like UPS and have
friends that work there, so I would like to use UPS. It is frustrating
though when there are many more damages with UPS than with others. USPS is
slow and their tracking is bad, but they rarely have damages and if they
do, they pay the claim. I don't use FedEx as much, even though I get better
rates with them, but I think I may have to.
I was a UPS driver for over 7 years, and thought like many of you, but now
that I am a regular UPS shipper my view has changed. I know that many
package are not packaged correctly, but I can assure you that I know how to
package things. I have seen enough, and know enough about what the packages
go through, and I don't want things to get to my customers damaged. We
still get about 2% of our items damaged. What really gets me is the excuses
that UPS will use to deny claims.
if you are talking about packing peanuts then why are you blaming u.p.s.
you ugly fuck? its not their fault. blame the company you got the package
from. my father worked for u p s for 35 years in chicago and made 85000
thousand a year so fuck your package buddy get real. you think my dad gives
a shit about your precious little package making 85000 a year? give me a
fucking break loser. go to fedex
So, why don't you quit if $20 an hour is not enough for someone with no
more than a sixth grade education? You don't even know the difference
between "there" and "their" or "ill" and "I'll". Perhaps you could make
some cash by suing your grammer school teachers! I think you qualify for a
position in the migrant worker industry. Now, I'll go fuck myself!
I work @ the 1-800 for UPS, and I have to say, thank you for saying what
needs to be said. The #1 thing that I see every day are people who don't
pay the extra 3 dollar's or something to get the extra protection on their
damn shit. The only diff between the two is the color that rep's the
company and the fucking name you see on the label.
I agree with the guy in this vid. I'm the AM Clerk at our facility and I
can't tell you how many times I've seen some idiot pack a shitload of glass
bottles with no padding, only to have them all bust. Since I'm also a
responder, I gotta be the one to clean all the shit up.
One time one kept sending it back to us so finally we took off our return
adress and filled it used cat litter and sent it back, i know thats a
little too far but thats how fusturating it gets
