Tutorial: Image Slider using jQuery Cycle Plugin
Build an image slider from scratch using Dreamweaver and the jQuery Cycle plugin.
This tutorial is perfect! So clear and simple and exactly what I'm looking
for. Please do some more for us poor beginners. You're a life saver. One
question though, how do you implement a row of links underneath that would
make the slider jump from one image to another? So if you're at one end of
the slide show and want to jump straight to the other end you simply click
a small link (small circle usually) which highlights and causes the slider
to jump to the end. Any help would be fantastic.
awesome man, thanks so much. my slideshow looks great, except for one
thing. i have horizontal pictures and vertical pictures. i sized the
vertical pictures so that their height is the same as the height of the
horizontal (regular) pictures, but they are always left-aligned. I want
them center-aligned if theyre not going to take up the whole slide box. i
even tried putting align="middle" in the 'img src' that didnt work. is it a
CSS value? or is it even possible?
Man, how important is to read your positive feedback. After spending a lot
of time trying to get a tutorial about slide effect in DW, I found this one
and I can say, without any kind of doubt, this is a master piece!! Thank
you so much for explaining all the details. You have done a superb job.
Regards!
@Quadzilla1111 That is actually an option built right into the cycle
plugin. On the jQuery Cycle Plugin website (the website I visit at 22:53 in
the video), there is a link called "Intermediate demos part 2". You'll find
an example called "pager" and you can see/copy exactly the option you need
Great tutorial! But i'm having just one problem, I'm using this on the home
page and every other page I'm working on but i can't seem to add any
photos/videos etc beneath this? It always snaps back to the top of the
page? I'm not sure what will be wrong. Help please! Thanks
WOW! I think I actually learned more from this tutorial in 1/2 hour (not
only about the slider but how to use Dreamweaver effectively) than in the
past year! Your explanations are clear, thorough and the screen recording
beautiful. Thank you. Hope you have some more coming.

Content -> Div floatRight (images inside here) so which div do i apply the
'overflow hidden' attribute because its giving problems with my image
layout. Thanks for any help :)

You've done nothing, just copy and paste on dreamweaver which makes 90% of
the works... It's not a tutorial for me, just something for people who
don't wants to learn programmation. Too bad!
