San Francisco Fire on Church and 15th St February 21, 2015
I was going to Church St when I saw a building on fire at the corner of Church St and 15th street in San Francisco. I was about 20 feet away and I saw firefighters ...
+Jacob Nicholas You are mistaken. I just googled it -- although they share Victorian architecture and white paint, it is not the same. The 'That's So Raven' house a big staircase where this building has a deli/market.
Got ah question. Im on the job out in Jersey and was wondering why you guys
paint your helmets Red/Wht etc?? Is it a company thing or what? Thx and
good vid
+TheHonarable1: In SFFD the red/white helmets wear the truckies, Engine guys wear all-black, not sure though what's the exact reason they've got it like this, but it's a tradition going back to the late 19th Century or so. Hope this helps.
Actually there were 7 engine companies, 3 truck companies (tillers not towers)and a heavy rescue squad on the scene by the time of this video clip's conclusion if we're keeping count.
+CLYDE FROG Ladder trucks are considered trucks period. They all don't come in red. They come in all different colors. Engines are considered engines and they come in different colors also. If you see emergency vehicles with lights and sirens on just get out of the way,no matter what color it is. Fire Apparatus is the basic name for all trucks and engines together, if you want to call a spade a spade.
+CLYDE FROG +John Argus I agree. From a bystander's perspective, I felt that people were way too close. If ANYTHING went wrong, people could have been in danger. I was surprised they let me stand there for so long.
+John Argus More fire department vehicles may have been on the way, or they could be staging ambulances there just in case. There could have been many reasons, but they all come down to safety. Also, you're watching the video from your computer. I don't think you have the right to determine if they were in danger or not. What if there was a store that had some type of chemicals in it, or a shed with a bunch of propane behind the houses or something? The possibilities are endless and you have to always assume the worst from the start. I'm not trying to start an internet argument or anything, just trying to offer a different perspective on the matter.
We saw it well before there was a police response. Maybe enough police showed up where they felt they can move people back since a big crowd was forming
Sorry for the loss
Cool video I like the fire trucks in action
I dislike what everyone is doing to my city san francisco cense they can't
keep up with the rent or whatever their promblem is they wanna cash out by
collect insurance money for the owner while the tenants have no where else
to go and a year or 2 later this is gonna be million dollars condos for the
yuppies who can't cook or smoking with a trash can ans more fire's will
break out I was born and raised in san francisco for 25 years trust me it's
the truth Dey wanted all the gang people out now you got yuppies who are
definitely destroying the city won't than we did I hope you're happy
+KevinWijaya95 all the recent fire's we had for the last year that we're on the news have been in the mission district c'mon man stop hiding from the truth and plus there trying to redevelope the mission 1+1 =2 right ok then and other thing in the Ingleside district, jose otega elementary school sits on a hill with a beautiful view of daly city and the mountains someone keeps calling and making bomb threats theres no bomb they want the view so you wanna take away a kids education so you can build condos wow
+samuel2500 We don't know that for sure if it was caused by an arsonist. Not every fire in big city like San Francisco caused by arson. It could've been somebody was smoking inside the room and inadvertently dropped the cigarette onto a sofa or rug or anything that is flammable.
