+I.C. Weiner You were saying that I, "lick his cock". But, as you may have noticed, I don't think he has a chance against Aldo neither. But for some reason, you have a problem that currently, he is the loudest fighter in the UFC. Stop being a whiny bitch you insecure fuck.
+GodDamnit7711 wtf insecurities? I was just saying, people who only talk about conor fucking faggot are worse than eminem dickriders. im sorry i thought you were just one of those people, you really should have worded that better.
+I.C. Weiner I didn't say he doesn't. Connor is the most like this though, therefor, he is the Mayweather of MMA. I also agree that the Aldo fight isn't going to be competitive. I think Aldo will win decisively, but that's not what I was talking about. It seems you have a real problem with Mcgregor for some reason. You just assume that I think everything he says is God's word or that he even has a good shot at Aldo, but in reality, you're just projecting your insecurities on to me, so stop being a little bitch and act normal. Would ya?
and pettis doesnt? Jesus you guys lick his cock sooo much. I honestly dont even think the aldo fight is competitive. Hes been bullshitting you all lol.
Duke Roufus talks MMA striking evolution, Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis and more
MMA trainer and former kickboxer Duke Roufus talks to Luke Thomas of MMA Fighting about the state of striking in mixed martial arts, where it's headed and why ...
Hey, Luke Thomas! Stop with the unnecessarily flowery language; it makes
you sound like a douche. 'More ubiquitous', for example. You just sound
like a pretentious idiot talking like that. You seem like a good guy,
overall - who knows his stuff. Occham's Razor: Keep it simple. I'm sure
you're proud of yourself for knowing big words, but if you really want to
sound intelligent only use them when it's entirely necessary. & calm your
tonality and volume down; that is also a bit much. Good interview
Pettis can probably take more of Jose's kicks than anybody else, he is
being trained by Duke and has trained with Pat Berry in the past, so i'm
pretty sure he has the ability to stand some of Jose's leg kicks. Aldo is
not like Frankie constantly moving, like Duke said he likes to stalk,
Anthony will be faster in the fight just like Edgar, and i think Aldo is
fast throwing those leg kicks and counters but as far as movement, he is
not faster. Either way this is going to be a great fight!
Aldo will kick more than he did vs Edgar because Pettis isn't a
wrestler...will Pettis be able to take the kicks better than Urijah, I
would think so since he says he takes kicks from Pat Berry...Aldo is faster
and stronger...Pettis seems to be more focused, more competitive and
mentally tough and of course has better cardio...I actually wish this was a
3 round fight so they don't conserve energy and go all out more...either
way gonna be great fight and awesome interview it was.
I thought Duke explained it well enough, but a guy with your username
should have understood it beforehand. If you time a more powerful overhand
counter to a leg kick, the leg kick becomes obsolete in the fight. Pettis
has shown that with all opponents who leg kick him. His counter timing with
a harder shot is pristine. And going up the body, Aldo is overrated as a
kicker. He's got no kick finishes in 12 Zuffa fights, Pettis has 3 in 10.
He's the more dangerous kicker.
I love this match up and Duke, but... If you think Pettis isn't going to be
phased by Jose's kicks and to go as far as saying that he is even faster
than Aldo (20:45) I think it's safe to say you'll be in for a rude
awakening. Regardless, this is even more of an exciting match up than
Edgar, hopefully this one gets a Primetime!
Deadly, are you the coach for Aldo? Aldo wont be longer, faster or taller
than Pettis. Bad match up for Aldo. On paper its a good fight, but reality
is that Pettis is a better all around fighter than Aldo. I know its hard to
wrap your head around it because Aldo is champ.
Like is a great journalist, love how he can make the most of an interview
and actually knowing technical stuff and make smart question. Not try to
beat around the bush talking about figthers personalities and starting
bullshit, great work Luke.
Completely agree. Footwork is everything in fighting. The moment I see how
a fighter moves, I know how good he is. Body language tells you everything
about a fighter's intensity, athleticism and comfort in the ring.
I won't lie, I think the guy doing this interview is maybe THEE biggest
douche bag I see on mma fighting, but that was a great and intelligent
interview... you mother fucker
Wait this interview didn't start with the question "do you not like me?" or
discussion about which shoes the interviewer is wearing, is this what real
journalism is like?
Aldo is my favorite fighter but if he doesn't have the gas for rounds 4 and
5 he is going to be in trouble. I think Aldo lost the last two rounds to
Edgar because of that
Luke Thomas is the best! I believe he is better than Ariel. If only Luke
could slow down. His questions/rants are full of meaningful thoughts that
need to be absorbed.
I've been following Pettis since his WEC days, and I always knew he was
going to be special.. His cocky attitude is the only thing that I don't
like about him
I have not heard a better interview. nor have i learned near as much from
an interview. Great fot the sport. more of these. You need greg jackson's
number
+MMA QUICK HITS MMA QUICK HITS true, between his khabib's fight his body has changed, it's weird :(Can't wait for "Cowboy" Vs RDA :)Donald Cerrone is just a Phenomenal fighter! I hope he will win!!
+polakoune Damn RDA body has changed soooooooo much. I think he did do a few cycles for sure actually. I love when clean fighters beat the snot out of dirty fighters! it's hilarious. I was actually happy when RDA beat Pettis though. I never really warmed up to Pettis. Good striking but there's something I don't like about the guy.
+MMA Quick Hits lol, I think "Cowboy" (one of my favorit fighter) has drunk lot of beer :pin my opinion, it's for sell the fight...I think RDA is clean, i hope.. Because i appreciate lot of a "clean sport" ;)it's why my favorites fighters are all cleans like : GSP, "Rumble", "Cowboy", Rory McDonald, Brad Pickett, Paul Felder, Al Laquinta, Chris Weidman...In my opinion, a truue mma artisit must be clean and Humble :)And you, what do you think about RDA on roinds..?
+polakoune I was pretty surprised also. It looks like Pettis doesn't fight well against bigger, stronger fighters. *RDA on roids???? What do you think???
+MMA Quick Hits lol ;) I was so surprised when RDA had WON the Belt o_OIn my opinion, Pettis was the best in the division..Very choked ... I have a Hughe respect for RDA since i saw his incredible performance..Sorry for my language..
