My detailed thoughts can be found at //Amazon.co.uk. Search for the M8 & my review is at number 2 under the name " J Choudhry ". I am also a member of the " Top 500 Reviewer " club which you will see under my name. That review gets updated all the time. Please do have a look. Xperia Z3 review is live as well at //Amazon.co.uk most likely in the top 3 reviews. Read them both & then ask me any questions here or at Amazon. I will try my best to help you make the right decision based on your needs. Good LUCK
Equally impressive. Should be getting well over 4 hrs of screen on time :-). Battery life is not an issue on this phone mate. I am talking from having the phone for over 6 months now.
Hey junaid,Great review,A small help can you put up a video showing the
auto sync indetail,I have tried but dint work and would like to
rectify.Like your auto sync how informations has been synced to
mail,whatsapp etc.Do help thanks.
If by details of sync u mean how does it effect the battery life then you don't need to worry. Just leave it on and all the info would be synced itself and battery will last you for long without no worries.
I actually ended up trading my Xperia z2 for the m8 and I'm pleasantly
surprised . Not quite as good as the Sony but I found it better than the
galaxy s5. I get thru the day no problem with heavy usage and usually I'm
around that 5 hours of on screen time sometimes more sometimes less.
Overall very satisfied with the me
+ob882 once calibration is done then you shouldn't let the battery die mate. It's not good for the health of the battery in the longer run. You will find plenty of content online supporting my argument :-)
I was hanging with some buddies, we ended up meeting the guy who's cast is
being removed. He had said he had it on for a while, then told us he'd only
had it on for 3 weeks after removal..Smh. Oh well.
Just a side note... the small flash housing for the inspire is stubborn,
and can easily be chipped. If you are performing this repair use a safe pry
tool, not metal. I have two word for you. HEAT GUN. Makes your screen
removal a lot less destructive. Do the extra work and remove the logic
board so you aren't cooking the board. You also didn't transfer the plastic
light transfer studs for the menu buttons. Without them you cannot see the
home, search menu and back buttons in the dark.
This video is showing a complete LCD / Digitizer assembly replacement. You
will not be able to successfully repair your phone with just the glass
since the glass if fused to the LCD. There are a lot of sellers in China
that will sell to anybody with the full knowledge that the customer will be
left unhappy. Our recommendation is for the complete LCD / Digitizer
assembly with six month warranty available on the Phone Doctors website.
The link is in our video description.
You are so cruel, you just love this metal rod of yours and just stick it,
and stick it in the poor phone, I just felt sorry for it. Good quality
video, but I noticed some mistakes - for the camera flash cover you first
need to pull it up from the inside, from the side of the battery and before
removing the housing you should remove the volume keys or you might damage
them. To be honest I wouldn't entrust my phone in these cruel hands.
Thank you phone doctor! My daughter (who just spent $99 to fix the display)
baptized her phone in the "tidy bowl". She put it in a bag of rice for 24
hrs. Wala it turned on and seemed to work! The camera lens had water on it
still though. So with your video I was able to open the back up and dry the
lens :) thank you! I am a mom, NOT a techy but with your great video igot
it done. THANK YOU.
@MrsCelesteMcCauley Best route: using a fine small drill bit, drill off the
head of the screw until you can remove the casing/ logic board. Then using
a pair of needle nose pliers remove the remaining screw from the part it is
stuck in. These requires intense caution, and should only be performed as a
last resort. One small slip of the drill bit and your phone is toast.
@jcd148 A side note to everyone here that is looking for the HTC light
transfer studs, we have them available. These studs are used, from other
phone models that have been sold to us by previous owners. To view the
light studs, search for iphone repair in stockton, clicking on
iphonerepairstockton and click on the phone services tab. Thanks for all
your questions!
@Sinizle The light transfer studs can be a pain to find (in my case I do
not find them). Since the phone is already put back together you are better
off not worrying about them. Otherwise they are plastic triangles with flat
bases or a tape strip basic designs on all HTC models. If you get stubborn
and need them search HTC repair in Stockton and email me.
I like ur video it looks like the easiest to follow so far (: I noticed on
other videos they were removing the speaker? I guess that is not necessary.
I hope I can fix my screen the power still turns on and I can hear sound.
The screen is completley black cuz I dropped it in the toilet lol. I don't
wanna spend 600$ for a new phone I hope this works!
good right up and video, on a side note. extreme caution is to be had when
placing the backplate back in. the flex cable is the most sensitive part of
the whole operation. i had to take it apart several times and reset the
cable just to get it to work. for a second there i thought my replacement
screen was DOA.
@chrisjsanford Thanks for your input Chris. A heat gun is not always an
option for DIY repair, and removing the circuit board can easily cause
damage to the flex cable. We've never had a problem with the buttons, but
thanks for pointing that out. We'll keep an eye out for it on the next one.
hey my htc inspire got ran over.. i sent it to get fixed and they replaced
my lcd screen and touch screen and it turns on and looks fine but the only
problem is that when i try touching an app or to simply unlock my phone it
wont respond, any one here know what the problem can be??
