I was severely addicted to oxy due to a botched hernia surgery, which long story short led to severe heroin addiction. Today I'm opiate free and have learned to manage my struggles. I know I should have died many times, and have no idea how I got through it, other than God. I have severe ADD as well and am probably going to be on adderall for the rest of my life. So, I take it as many other people do who were never heroin addicts, but does that mean I'm not drug free? That's for whoever would like to judge to decide, but it doesn't make a difference to me. I'm happy with the fact that I'm alive today from something that almost killed me many times, and can say I'm opiate free.
