thanks for the good review, i suspected the power ratings were an outright lie, and now i know they are, thanks............lots of sellers on ebay say these are are 9 watts and sometimes 10 watts and charge more, you can tell this is bogus by the style of the chip lay out on the carrier as pictured through the lens you can only see 3 very small dies under the phosphor gel which rules out 9 watts as well as the package cannot heat-sink a 9 watt device properly. 3 watts would be possible but the chip dies would have to be much more robust............ just for fun i fired off the question "whats the real rating" to 10 different ebay sellers today wondering what kinda of bs responses i will be getting soon i will know who is honest in any sellers are...........

+Ocean House Thanks for sharing, but honestly most Ebay sellers of those lights are not technical and probably can't tell you anything more than what the package says. If you check out their Ebay store, they probably sell everything from car accessories to kitchen sinks. They buy these things bulk from the local manufacturer and sell whatever is on hand. That's why I don't (can't) put the Ebay link to any of my video reviews I do because these sellers come and go frequently. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Ebay as I still buy plenty there, but just understand you get what you pay for.

+hazarewaal There are no stupid questions. You want to connect them in parallel and not in series. When they are in series, they will divide the voltage of 14.9V to each LED which in your case with 3 LEDs, will be 4.96V each. They need 12-14V each.

I have theese on my car for 8 months....there is a problem,they are not water proof,water get inside between lens and housing,and they will fail

+IulianE I agree I had the same problem with the water ingress when they were on the front of my jeep. Good to use inside though, and have used them for my number plate illumination too.

by installing these have you blocked your radiator at all? do they add any true extra lighting on the road are they blinding to incoming traffic?

+Thomas Does not block radiator cooling. These don't add too much light, just for DRL use.

+Samuel Brooks I've given up on the Chinese DRLs, all of the different ones I've bought have failed due to water ingress. Maybe if you live in a dry climate they might be OK.

+TargaWheels The heat is simply from the light emitting diode itself. All high power LED will produce a lot of heat.

Hi, how did you solder the wires in 3:42 in order to connect them? Did you solder all red together and so with the black? Can you also connect them to a 12v cigarette adapter and plug them in the outlet inside the car? I

+Leonard Nunag Yes, solder all the reds together, and all the black together. Then connect them to any 12V power source.
