Those "retro," gauges are so faggy, these cars never will be as nice as the older generation of the late 60's-mid 70's, EVEN if they are faster stock. The only cool thing, is the redline warning even that is over kill, typical ford: "LOOK LOOK WE DIDN'T TAKE A BAILOUT AND WERE TRYING TO BE JAPNESE WITH THE GAUGES TOOOOOO COME ON GUYS!!!!"

@3point7v6Stang I wasn't dissing anyone, but that's just what people have referred to them for decades, cars used to have a little red light on them years ago that would flash red to let someone know when to shift, hence the the term idiot light. You shift by sound in a street car, not by lights.

Is there a way to turn this on/off. My car came with the ford power pak (cold air, ford racing mufflers and tuner) from the factory and I'm thinking either that voided this feature or mine is turned off somehow. Any help??

Ford is stupid, they should have place a green light before the red lights up that way it can be a additional guide to shift timing.

I think this feature was added for all the new style Mustangs with the MyColor feature - my 2010 GT has this as well.

I sold the Viper. I just picked up the e90 m3 this past week. I just have e46, S2000, and E90 M3. The E90 is one hell of a machine.
