What about all the jobs that will be created to transport the increased
volume? Or the jobs created to maintain the machines. Or the jobs for the
people building the machines.
It's too easy to see the jobs lost compared to the other jobs created. All
throughout history we've been creating technology to reduce labour. I say
this is a good thing. Respectfully I disagree.
What Edward's worrying about is almost like that the Capitalism economy is
fast mutating and under going an form of autodigest or Self-cannibalism
process which’s the body eating itself away and eventually destroying
itself.
Actually it is not the capitalism, it is Keynesianism. The problem is capitalism becomes the fall guy (as evident from what you say) and that spurrs wrong policy measure to supposedly stimulate the economy. The cycle continues.
