yeah, but machine room-less traction is more practical for low-rise buildings because they don't have the machine room above, and hydraulic is the norm for low-rise buildings in the US, although in December, Mitchell Hall, an all classroom low-rise building will receive a KONE EcoSpace MRL elevator

i think this is why the lowest number of floors I've seen for conventional traction is 4 landings. btw, the hospital in Los Alamos is the only place there that has traction elevators; the rest as I know are hydraulic elevators

I'm assuming this elevator is convention traction since Dover didn't make any machine room-less traction elevators before ThyssenKrupp bought out the elevator division. Can conventional traction work for four floors.

but i'd go with traction (conventional or MRL) rather than hydraulic no matter how many floors because traction is more energy-efficient.

That's correct, and even with 2/3/4 floors, conventional traction works.

The fixtures might have been Dover Halo buttons. I thought this was a hydro. Well, I guess not.
