As far as Crosby goes, well that's a fairly moot argument considering there are no other Crosbys available, so even if you had 20 mil to throw on a player, you still wouldn't get a Crosby. 

He's worth about 5.5 - 6.5 million, just because he has charisma doesn't mean he deserves more than what Crosby gets. If the Montreal Canadiens wanted to sign him to a 5 million dollar deal, even though he's the best player on the team, what makes you think teams like the Boston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks, etc. would want him for more? No thanks bud, I'd rather pay Crosby 10 million than pay P.K Subban 9. Don't get me wrong though, he's an amazing player, just not worth 9 million. Drew Doughty is getting paid less than 5 Million and he has 2 Stanley Cups and 2 Gold Medals, same goes for Duncan Keith. I don't think charisma is worth another 4 million.
