In actuality though - he was the first sitting President since James Madison to lead actual American troops into battle... in a winning effort against a universally feared and hated opponent no less - when he landed, his approval ratings would be high enough to abolish the POTUS term limits.

Yet you leave out that he, as a President, got into a jet himself cause he's a fighter pilot and helped take down the first alien ship. He risked his life for his people. And if you're upset about Presidents lying then you're living in the wrong country.

+Anthony Dibble I can't believe you fell for such an obvious PR stunt! He was in that jet just long enough to get his picture taken, then split when the fighting got too intense. Stop letting Whitmore and his media lap dogs pull the wool over your eyes!

Yeah, and his missiles "conveniently" jammed. Who ended up saving the day? Randy Quaid.And I don't know about you, but I don't trust a president who would give a fighter jet to Randy Quaid.
