Although this legal action sounds promising, I suspect Monsanto will pay off a few politicians and will get only a slap on the wrist. Remember Chris Christie settled the Exxon lawsuit for a measly $250 million instead of the expected $9 billion payout to New Jersey. If law suits become too expensive for Monsanto, they will declare bankruptcy only to emerge from bankruptcy maybe under a new name without the legal liabilities. It is very difficult to kill a cockroach like Monsanto because it has too many paid political friends. The only way to eradicate Monsanto is to turn the public against them and disclose what Monsanto is really doing. Then politicians will avoid Monsanto like the plague that they are. But with the corporate "news media" we have today, I don't think that is likely to happen. They will spin the news so it favors Monsanto as the injured party who is trying to clean up the environment, much like the BP disaster. They may even hire the same PR firm. Just my opinion.
