The first tandem passenger was the man who started American Classifieds and the Thrifty Nickel. The second gentleman was a guy who had never flown in anything he was 82 years old and told me he was amazed watching us fly around. I asked Dell if would would take this gentleman up and just like every other time I asked Dell for something at Beach Blast he said no problem. Thanks again Dell for being such a valuable asset at Beach Blast 2009.

Well done still a good ground speed. But that's all it was, it was definitely not indicated air speed. GPS's aren't very accurate to measure speed unless its a flat track. Keep on flying and keep up the good video's

The airspeed was 50mph.  Yes you can get an accurate reading with a GPS.  You just clock the ground speed in opposite directions and take the average.  That way it takes out any tail wind component.  So yes the 89.4mph was ground speed but the 50mph actual airspeed was a record.  I just recently broke this record though on the new XXS Dominator at 51mph.  What's really incredible is that the Dominator is the safest wing I've ever tested.  So now anyone can safely fly a wing with this performance potential.  Very very cool stuff.

In the written commentary, you say these machines go 50 miles per hour and had a range of 280 miles. Is this really true? I've been saving my coffee money ( I use to buy 3 to 4 coffees a day @ 1.40 each) to purchase a challenger ultralight, but if this machine goes as fast as you say it does, I think I could have a heck of a lot more fun with one of these. And I probably have enough money saved for one of these. I've been a fixed wing pilot for over 20 years and can't afford to fly anymore.

You are watching a masterful pilot flying his PPG. Few people can fly with Dell's skill. The key to enjoying this wonderful form of flight is you MUST, MUST, MUST have the very best training you can get. Pay whatever it takes to get the best training available. Any shortcut can cost you dearly in accidents and equipment. A good instructor will not rush you through your training, will build your confidence to be able to fly with ease, and have a successful flying career.

What limits height to 18K feet? Is it because of lack of oxygen to the motor, air too thin for the chute to produce more lift, or because of lack of oxygen to the pilot? Just wondering...

This is Utah lake which is a huge fresh water lake. It usually freezes over like that during the winter. Makes for a nice big playground:).

For someone that talks a lot about safety, why are you flying over water without a emergency flotation device? Unless of course the Flat Top is built with a natural buoyancy system integrated in its design? Then I stand corrected! Also what do you think the final outcome would be if you had a engine out approximately 35 feet into your run out? Those rocks look pretty hard and sharp..... But then again you may have already integrated a airbags system in the Flat Top that I am not aware of?

another great vid from dell.:)) at 7:05 you're setting trimmers to prepare yourselve for landing I guess. To slower the glider.. I'll wait also a vid of setting the trimmers on the wing & steps. I'm sure the K2 is one of the best gliders which is available special for paramotoring. I'm sure, this glider is exactly what I need. The paraglider is the parachute looking wing that you fly, the paramotor is the engine on your back that pushes you. It is the paraglider that you really fly. The paramotor just pushes you:).
