But all these people driving SUVs mostly women who wanted to be end with the trend went out and bought a Hybrid mostly a Prius. That's certainly the case with EVERY hybrid owner I know. Plus companies get government support for that. The only real solution I see is either hydrogen or the Nissan leaf 100 mile range and they lease the batteries for the price of fuel. So instead of the car being almost worthless because it needs those expensive batteries replaced you goto Nissan and exchange.

Ya really I mean the Volkswagen polo already does 70mpg so why not make it hybrid as well. But lets face it hybrid was a gimmick to begin with. First off the Eco sedan really wasn't that far off the Prius in MPG but cost half is much so Toyota quit it. The Carbon produced by making the batteries is worse than driving a H2 for 10 years and the batteries last only 7-10 years and could last less if the car isn't driven the right amount. Hybrids loose handling b/c weight. and loose room.

I don't know about this particular concept, but I do think Subaru needs to tap into big daddy ( Toyota) and create a hybrid Forester or Outback... I'd trade in my 05 Outback for one of those ( granted I'll miss the manual and turbo). As for concept cars, they look futuristic to just get ideas and look at upcoming design elements.

how can we move on into the future if we live in the past? if it were up to some of you we'd still be driving cars with 1980's technology plus some of the advanced cars are cheaper in some cases

All these car makers with their electric and zero emission POS cars. Everybody knows that americans will never get rid of their heavy 5+ liter v8 american muscle and pickup trucks!

well, im sure its on its way, but since diesel for the most part get great gas mileage, it isnt at the top of the list.
