I have already watched it and it is pure pleasure and joy to watch it over ad over again. It's very fortunate that something like that exists. And you are rather lucky, I think I would give everything for that play to had been saved somehow. It must have been amazing.
+CaterinaEvClub I had the pleasure to see the play on Broadway back in 1967 and witness an astonishing performance by the cast, and especially Melina, who with tears sang "Piraeus My Love" as she then had her Greek citizenship taken away by the military junta governing Greece at the time. You can see her on YouTube here with her performance from the play on the Ed Sullivan Show (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8_CMg8mStc).
+Louis Economopoulos Of course! I know that, but, having not seen the performance of the play, it instantly reminds me of the movie! Melina was very childlike while narrating Medea's story like a fairytale, it is something adorable and humorous at the same time! And I was wondering why on earth this play hasn't ever been set since. I wish someone would play 'Illya Darling' again sometime soon.
+CaterinaEvClub The scene in question is from the Broadway performance and not from the film, although very similar as Melina and Titos Vandis played in both with virtually the same dialogue.
