i got a 08 SE, its awesome im 19 (18 when i bought it), and its my first car. idk what other car can be more better as a first car. funny when i see co workers and freinds with there first cars and they got shitty 15 year old jap cars with 200k miles when i got a 2008 with 40k miles. its got amazing gas milage, qtr of a tank left, filled to full costs me 30-35 bucks at 3.60 per gal and that lasts me 3-4 weeks. awesome car dodge has made.

I have gone faster but I have a newer model so I can hit 110 its harder because the transmission needs servicing and I drive the crap out of my car and the Dodge Caliber takes it I have never hit 120 but I plan to when a service the car. The CVT is great ask any car I have raced and won many where better and faster than mine but I hope Dodge bring the car back it could be better 2010 SXT 2.0L CVT 80,000 plus miles

looks like you need to tell all these dumbasses on here what you said. i believe they are fast also. as a guy up there has said, they are a small, compact eco car (the base model, that is). as you said, the SRT4 is the fast one. if you are looking for every day reliabilty, go with the SXT or SE. if you are looking for power or speed, the SRT4 has you covered. i really wouldnt mind having a 09 SRT4. nice job man.

yea sure. thats why they said that they were so well off, that they didnt take any bailout money like chrysler and gm did. but now they dont have any money and are going bankrupt faster than the other two. and i dont see how you think they are better in qualty than chrysler. dodge alone has gotten so many awards just in 2009 for their lineup. espically the 09 Ram. more than the f150 got.

it was the 2.0 gasoline model. The CVT was the worst part of the car. Seriously, did Dodge ever actually do any real world testing of their software before sending this out? It was lurchy and not smooth at all. Instead of smoothly raising RPM during higher demand, it would just jump to the next 1,000 ROM increment.

and cmon ppl if you wanna show off to youtube on how fast yur car is going down a highway, dont do it in eco cars. do it in stuff that you have worked on or has a set of balls. not a dodge caliber (unless SRT4), then you can show off.

and ford is any better? you obviously havent had any personal business with this car. dodge/ chrysler corp. is a very good manu. so just think not because you are so far up your ass with ford. go suck a railroad spike.

Valiant: This car was electronically limited to 112. The computer steps in and starts interrupting the spark at 112. But that's not one of my biggest concerns with the car. Its the build quality and engineering.

i have a 2009 sxt - that car has no guts, but i didnt buy it to race..i got it because its a quality car for the price. im very happy with it, i can zoom around town all week for less than $40 (IN CALIFORNIA!)

I have a 07 sxt with the 2.0 and it's soooo much better than the ford focus and chevy impala. It is a very peppy car rides smooth and isn't noisy as the poster said. One of the best cars I've ever bougt

@jetdriven ...you must have gotten a dud, mine ('08 SXT 2.0L CVT as well as a few others I know) have none of the problems you seem to have with yours, quite the opposite actually.
