Tesla Motors Megafactories The Future of Electric Cars
Tesla Motors Megafactories - The Future of Electric Cars.
Uber Entrepreneur: An Evening with Elon Musk
Speakers: Elon Musk, CEO, Tesla Motors; CEO & CTO, SpaceX; Chairman, SolarCity Moderator: Michael Malone, Author; Columnist, The Economist, Wall Street ...
From Wikipedia: "In 2003, two independent teams, consisting of Martin
Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning and Ian Wright on the one hand, and Musk and JB
Straubel on the other, both sought to commercialize the T-Zero prototype
electric sports car created by AC Propulsion. Since college, Musk's primary
goal was to commercialize electric vehicles all the way to mass market,
starting with a premium sports car aimed at early adopters and then moving
as rapidly as possible into more mainstream vehicles..."
You have to understand the design terms of the Tesla Roadster, which is
what Elon Musk understands. NiMH batteries are cheaper and can be made much
more readily, but the Tesla needed a battery pack that was lighter, with a
better charge density and quicker recharge time. NiMHs have their place,
but not in the roadster. Not all fuel cells run on hydrogen. The field of
direct hydrocarbon oxidation across ceramic fuel cells has rapidly expanded
and is ready to take the role of batteries soon.
he does some good but so did Bush.. Elon is unfortunately far from the good
guy he likes to play for those that don't know any better. he ousted Martin
Eberhard who started Tesla Motors and now pretends he started it and other
related lies. he sued Fisker frivolously to trip them up out of childish
jealousy. it's interesting to see how composite humans can be, being on the
one hand talented and accomplished but on the other childishly petty and
deceitful. don't count on him for space or EV
Even if that was true, Eberhard's name should be mentioned along Musks and
it's not quite true. Martin and Marc founded Tesla motors, the company name
and company. Presumably lead by Martin. It was his vision to base it on
lotus elise engineering and to sue a single speed gearbox. Elon was then
put in contact with Martin because they had similar goals and Elon had the
money. Elon wanted a 2 speed gearbox, they tried that but went back to
single. Martin ran the company, Elon was at spacex
I think your keyboard is broken, sir, the caps lock has a mind of its own.
Why focus on a past technology that theoretically cannot achieve the same
charge density or charge time as the newer technology? Lithium ion
batteries are trying to compete with petrol fueled cars and need the
charge, weight, size, and recharge time to compare favorably to petrol. Why
not look forward to new technologies like ceramic fuel cells that turn
hydrocarbons directly into an electric charge?
The Bloom Bax will work in a Tesla. I think a 'small' Bloom box will work N
a all electric car!! The car would get 4 times the mileage then the
batteries currently used. If they can get the Bloom Box down 2 lets say
$5-800.00 4a car,, it would help the us all. As well as lower the price of
The Tesla. I also feel The Bloom Box can work in harmony with your solar
technology. Super Cool Stuff!! I know you can make it happen Elon,, So
check it out!! Citizen Angel l l : l l
@psyclistic Na, dann verstehen wir uns ja! my point is that the prefix Uber
is of common usage in the English language since long before A.H. used it
in a very specific and particular context. You can go to an Uber-party, or
carry an Uber-penis, or hear an Uber-song without there being even the
slightest association to anything German/Nazi related. Gleichschaltung,
however, IS a 'Nazi' term, and yet also of completely common usage in
political theory the world over.
elon musk is a bankruptcy expert, a hostile take over expert with a little
cash he got for chuming up with the guys who developed zip 2, or paypal, he
is barry soretoe alias barack hussain muhammed obamas, pet chicken, and has
a longevity factor about as long as barry, which is coming to an end soon.
The sooner the better, as all the people he trashes away along the way, as
he steals their ideas and companies, will be pleased to see his eventual
termination.
And again: "On July 29, 2009, a judge in San Mateo County, Calif., Superior
Court struck down a claim by former CEO Eberhard, who asked to be declared
one of only two founders of the company. Tesla said in a statement that the
ruling is "consistent with Tesla’s belief in a team of founders,
including... Elon Musk, and... JB Straubel, who were both fundamental to
the creation of Tesla from inception." In early August, Eberhard withdrew
the case..."
Elon is incorrect about the model S being the first mass produced electric
car. The Baker Electric was the first, in 1912. It had a top speed of 30
mph and a range of between twenty and thirty miles between charges.. That's
correct, 100 years ago there were electric cars people..Thank your local
oil company (and crooked auto manufacturer) for killing the electric car
100 years ago. Don't take my word for any of this.. Check it out yourself.
You are a fool a without the CHEVRON veto liberated NiMH can get BETTER and
SAFER and CHEAPER driving than LITHIUM. As for HYDROGEN a HYDROGEN car is a
FRACKING POWERED CAR with massive C02 pollution from the fossil
fuel;processed Hydrogen feul productio the car may put out water vapor but
the fuel source is dirty and still very dangerous inside the car.Liberated
NiMH could power the TESLA MODEL X to go further at half the sticker price.
@BOWENSblog Pay for performance NASA COTS will begin yielding dividends now
that Falcon & Dragon are achieving promised objectives. Trolls can say what
they like, men like Musk can lose it all and bounce back. BS + BA, CEO, CTA
experience, automotive + aerospace + solar power engineering, powerful
business contacts, 100 hour work weeks....... this is not someone floating
by on "luck" or "overrated" or about to get "hurt". Look closer.
it's plausible for ur knowledge on EV's history, but don't you think you
are over sensitive on ppl talking? wat if the word "FIRST mass produced EV"
is referring to century now? wat if the word "mass produced EV" is
reffering to an enormous quantity that ever produced which overcome the
quantity on Baker Electric in 1912, such words pointed out would not make
you smarter than Elon. I just dun like catching keywords.
bankruptcy experts start with hostile takeovers, removing the designers and
original owners, they bleed the company and investors until their end, many
last for decades, bilking the government, the NYSE, private investors, and
all who come into contact with them, Elon fits the profile, from the first,
and now is playing the cashflow short game, min the never ending rabbithole
of disappearing cash
WTF did you just say? My point, if you had taken the time to read about any
of this, is that the Baker Electric was the first mass produced electric
vehicle, not the Tesla roadster or S sedan. PERIOD. I simply pointed out
that Mr. Musk was incorrect when he made the statement that Tesla was
first. I don't know what your idiotic diatribe is about.
I would think that it is easier to design/build a generator than it is to
find oil then distill to get gas. Certainly it would be more "normal
person" friendly. Find an outlet and you can drive. Find a solar panel
charging grid and you can drive. Throw a wave generator bouy into the lake
and charge your car over night etc...

you gotta hand it to the guy for his intellect and luck. I think he was
very lucky that he started doing business right before the internet bubble
started... which ultimately made him a huge chunk of money so he could
peruse his dreams... im currently in the same process and have his
aspirations towards space.
To my question "why did you name your car Tesla" you mentioned that another
thought was to call if "Faraday". I am very happy with your choice of the
underrated genius Nicole Tesla - otherwise for some might be easy to crack
to joke at your car "it does not go very Far A Day"....
CONTINUED: "Tom Gage, the president of AC Propulsion, suggested that the
two teams join forces to maximize the chances of success. They agreed to
merge their efforts, with Musk becoming chairman and overall head of
product design, Eberhard becoming CEO and Straubel becoming CTO."

It doesn't take a genius to be a bankruptcy fraud expert, or an internet
philanthropist, just training in criminality by criminals, the draft
dodger, trained in toronto is smart like a sack of rocks---people who
believe his P R Crap are idiots
yep 185 miles high followed by a splashdown with a payload of cheese, What
part about 60's spacex generation does this not reaccomplish, paid for by
barry soretoe, alias barrack hussain obama
CONTINUED: "Eberhard also issued a statement about Musk's foundational role
in the company: "As a co-founder of the company, Elon's contributions to
Tesla have been extraordinary."
Why doesn't he explain that an electric car is much simpler than a gas car.
Less parts to break etc... Easier, lower maintenance in the end a very good
investment
I want you to go and grab a remote, power tool or some other device that
requires AA batteries. Those are NiMH batteries. Do you even know how a
battery works?
+Sith Lord it took space x only 4 launches and a guy reading a couple books to figure out how to run a space program, i think we will skip the moon and go straight to mars
+KerbalEssences I never thought about virtual reality. Elon Musk has talked about dropping nuclear bombs on the Martian poles to make the planet more habitable.
+Quanfoozhou Campbell If there was a giant asteroid heading for earth I bet you would ;P Some may flee to the moon, some stay in orbit or even underground but having others on Mars is crucial in my opinion because it's the only body arround we could actually live from the resources found there. Considering the current developement in virtual reality I doubt you would even miss something on Mars in 10 - 15 years from now. People will sit inside their building and enjoy the massive virtual content even more than they do these days. Imagine kids growing up with virtual reality. They will adapt to it and not have all those side effects older folks might end up having like motion sickness and what not.
