A vacant building in East Cleveland caught fire early Tuesday morning. Parts of Euclid Avenue were closed for several hours.

How sad. I grew up in East Cleveland, on Noble Road and recognize this
location. It was always kind of gritty and I am sorry when I see how run
down it has gotten. When those Southern states had a program in the early
'60s to give a free bus ticket to indigents to go to Cleveland, it caused a
lot of trouble. Kind of like NIMBY dumping and it did no one any good. That
story is generally secret and I find it really shocking! What a mess.
