Well first it's distracting and it puts the song out of context. My focus is no longer the music. Second of all its not really even changing a word, he would just have to remove a letter. Maybe if it threw the whole flow of the song off, but it wouldn't, he wouldn't even have to change the amount of syllables. That's how easy it would be. Many artists have tailored a song to who they are, Nina Simone's cover of House of the Rising Sun is one that comes to mind. She changes the lyrics slightly to make the song fit her better, have it sound like her own. And because of that it feels more authentic, the emotion seems more believable. It doesn't feel like she's singing someone else's song.

Why does the song have to be changed if the opposite gender is singing it... They're only words. If you change it just cause u have male genitals you're kinda over thinking it

Well first off, the orginal song is from the female perspective, so to sing it any other would be wrong, plus  what is wrong with a man singin from a female perspective? I think Jack White is confident enough with his masculinity to not have to change the song. ;)
