Flip key is standard. Not sure on the alloy pedals - didn't pay any extra. Thought I saw them as an option in the brochure but the dealer might have added them for free :)
It is better to see what is in your blind spot than just a notification
light. Get some blind spot mirrors, they have the added benefit of seeing
your rear wheels/line makings when reverse parking.

+Damien Beckett Yeah it sounds nice but that doesn't mean this car sounds shit. I guess there isn't a right or wrong answer with sound opinions though :S
Yes GM in Detroit. I'm sure a lot the parts are out sourced from multiple countries but final assembly will happen in the states. Please refer me to a legit source of information of the Holden brand being scrapped altogether, good luck with that. By the by, I don't really care as I have no allegiance to a car manufacturer. I buy what suits my needs and finances best.
Holden the brand is not getting scrapped, they're just building all their cars out of the American plant.

Piece of shit. Wouldn't drive it it if I won it. who would buy something
built by people knowing they are losing their jobs. You a re a dumb ass if
you do. Bye Bye Holden. You were good when you were but now you're not.
+Smelliest Müt Im a practical kinda guy. Brands and logos don't really catch me. My needs are specific and Im not going to waste money on stuff that I can't use. I have researched the ute segment reasonably extensively and there is a lot more to consider other than what it looks like. Anyway, I don't want to bore you with a lecture on how to select the right vehicle for you. If you get oneI truly hope its fits your bill and you get a good experience owning it. I got what I needed and Im loving it.
+Dean van der Merwe Great response. Respect to be able to answer to a practicality point of view. Nobody else I've seen could match up to that on YouTube.
+Smelliest Müt Our tastes are clearly different so lets agree to disagree and let it lie but to answer your question about what irks me about it, Let me say this. Its half way between a nice car and a good ute. Only room for 2 people, road clearance is very low so you can't tow a boat a launch it on the beach. I suppose there is a market for it but I think its a very small market and Holden could have done better with their swan song. Anyway, thats my 5c worth. No offence intended, Just my opinion.
+Dean van der Merwe it is the last Aussie made Commodore, so they went with what the fans wanted. A louder engine, and power. The rest has been on other models, just resurfaced. It's a nice car, I don't know what urks you about it.
+Smelliest Müt Another sheep following what used to be a good brand down the toilet. Good Luck with that mentality. This vehicle is possibly the biggest cry out for attention I have seen in a long time. The company is going down the gurgler so lets build a big ugly gas guzzler thats about as relevant as the Kardashians. If you buy a holden made in Korea you are the one who is gonna need a bicycle.
+凸(¬_¬)凸 Not 10 years from now when all the poshy car collectors want a nice one, but can't find them as they ended up beaten up, etc. If I was an Aussie, I would order one today, put it away, and keep it only for Sunday drives. It might still be common on the roads today but not so much in the near future, when your kids want one but have become pricey for a good taken care of one. I wish I could buy one up here in Canada. Only the large pickup trucks thusfar.

2016 Holden Commodore VFII SS-V Redline Video Review | Drive.com.au
The Aussie-made Commodore goes out with a high-powered bang. read Review: https://bit.ly/1L7k5tc.
The 11 down arrows are definitely from angry ford owners that just wasted
there money on a new falcon gtp with that tiny pip squeak engine they came
out with that wouldn't even see the taillights of a real car like this!!!!!
Don't worry angry people ford has something up there sleeve too I'm
thinking bigblock with a blower but let's wait & see it's not 2017 yet.
Mate, you're living in dream land. My stock xr6 turbo with 275's on the rear is still quicker than these things. Nice car all round, but don't pretend it's quick.
Sounds like a wet fart. Why can't they have given it the same 340kw as the
HSV LS3? It's got less grunt than the VE clubby, and still less torque than
an FG XR6T! Over hyped much?
+Larry Punter Sometimes its not all about going fast mate, it's all about the vast changes from the ve - vf series 2 the xr6's interior hasnt changed much since 2008. Yes the ford/ fpv line will always be the one that is fast and more bang for buck, however the driveline and handling of the commodore is superior. And being .4 of a second quicker to 100km/h, does it really matter?
Going out with a bang unlike Ford. Are you going to review the final
Calais? I don't know what I'm going to drive in a few years with Ford and
Holden stopping making my fav cars
Final Model FGX has been released yes, but they will be next year releasing a Xr8 sprint and a XR6 Sprint which will be likely using the old FPV F6 running gear. Have been told by a few ford employees, that ford will be defiantly going out with a bang!.
+MaZEEZaM Don't worry, Ford will be certainly going out with a Bang! Just wait till the XR8 sprint and XR6 Turbo sprint are released. I will still be driving a falcon in many years to come, always have and always will!
+Will Reynolds-Smith tesla is rubbish the car was originally designed for police it's the only car company with its own command center that not only knows where the car is they can drive it from the center by computer. Now yes they put it up against a Holden supercar that has gear ratios for a long straight over 800mtrs but they raced it at 400mtrs quarter mile i put money on it that if the Holden was set up for the quarter mile tesla would not have had a chance not to mention it's kinda cheating being 4wd and all the rest of the bullcrap you don't know about this tesla car watch that company crash & burn nobody wants to be stalked by a spy car & that's all the tesla is it watches your every move so does command central think I'm joking? look it up.
+James Holcombe hey mate you don't start the company with your cash, you don't pay any insurance for the company, zero risk, in fact all employees do is put the company in danger due to fukups, causing stress each and every day. Union thugs can go fuk themselves imao
+Charles Robinson don't be so gullible unions are one of the best things in this country keeping greedy bosses/corporates in line you fool. the average person deserves a right to try and make it in this country and they need to be paid accordingly to the living standards. i find it so ironic that everyone purchases these 'euro or jap' cars that are made at the expense of cheap labour in and unfortunate country and by the time it gets over here it actually is not much cheaper than the aussie made. good one........
+Chrstian “Driver” mrclep the main reason is the sheep minded people here in australia. Once small europeans ad SUV's got a hold of the market it was all over. the other car companies marketed these boring cars to the average person better and the general public shifted. people believe they need an SUV now when they dont..... anyway ill be actually enjoying cars like these VF's till I die
I agree they were getting paid to much due to greedy unions. the Gov could have solved this easily for the whole industry by having a mediator that decides a balanced approach between fair wages and conditions with whats also fair for the business. Can't expect gov in AUS to make sensible policies.
+Damien Beckett Why should my tax dollars pay to protect the jobs of unionised workers with the second highest auto salaries in the world? The average guy on the plant screwing Commodores together in Adelaide gets almost $100,000 per year. That's a joke.
+Chrstian “Driver” mrclep, Manufacturing cars in Australia is no longer viable because of a combination of:1. Australia has the second highest auto worker labour rates in the world behind Germany. Greedy unions have screwed the wages up so high that manufacturing in Australia is uncompetitive.2. Australian manufacturing plants are now too small on a global scale to be competitive. On average a plant needs to make 300,000 cars per year to break even, Ford, Toyota and Holden were making much less than that.3. Buyers have shifted from purchasing large to smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles that Holden and Ford were not manufacturing.4. With the decision of Ford and Holden to close their plants, Toyota could not continue to manufacture cars as the economics of scale of sourcing local parts from manufacturers who now only manufacture parts for Toyota instead of three vehicle manufacturers made the local car parts too expensive.
+MaZEEZaM Why should "the government" bail out car companies? They were already given over 1 billion in tax payer dollars and still left the country. That's corporate fascism mate, the very thing we fought against in WW2. Hitler was a corporate fascist. Where is my government corporate handout seeing as were giving money to a US car company?
These two models were designed and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions. they always offered a really great all round vehicle including the new technologies for the base prices often much better deals than the competition but I guess the Australian public moved towards small models and SUV market rather than large sedans.
There are many reasons, +Damien Beckett and +MaZEEZaM covered off on a few of them but one of the main ones is that the cars from European and Japanese manufacturers are a much more attractive choice, and offer better performance while using much less fuel. The American car industry can't keep up with the technology and engineering advancements happening in the rest of the world, and even new companies from their own nation such as Tesla.
