We bought this Honda in early January, and I drove without any plates for
three + full months and was never stopped. One day a cop was following me
close enough to see I had no plates and still didn't pull me over.
Xtune Intake Review Installed on a 2003 Honda Accord & MPG Gains, HP, Torque, & Throttle Response
Amazon Purchase Link: //amzn.to/1qUUvRe This is a video review of a Spyder Automotive Cold Air Intake that I got for my 2003 Honda Accord V6. I have got ...
+RealReviews Thanks for reaponding! I just bought it for my birthday. Are there any installation videos out there? I haven't found any for this specific intake.
+Jacob Vaflor People are really hesitant to buy things that aren't K&N, etc. I put my review up and there were a few earlier. Maybe they remade the amazon post for some reason? Either way, it was perfect, and the only thing that I changed was I upgraded the 2 small hoses it came with to reinforced hoses ($1 from autzone, sell by the foot), but that is not necessary, and it works great just the way it comes.

2011 Mazda 3 2.5L VS 2001 Honda Accord V6
Well that is rather embarrassing, I always knew my Accord felt downright slow below 3500 rpm but here you can really see the damn lack of torque and that ...
This same Mazda3 in this video only averages 24 MPG according to my friend
who owns this car, and she drives about 80% mostly highway. If you ask me
thats awful. The Si asks for premium bc it has 201 hp vs 167hp. It gets to
60 in 6.3 secs vs 8.3 in this Mazda... As far as handling is concerned,
they are similar, you obviously havent driven the Si yet. Both cars are
great but the Si and reg Mazda3 dont compare in performance. The Si is
quicker, more fuel efficient, and just as fun in the curves.
@xoquixxoqafxo Oh I agree. The shifting in the Mazda takes some getting
used to. The honda civic si has a really nice feel to it, however, requires
you to use premium fuel and that was the killer for me. As gas prices are
rising I do not want to have to fill up using premium. Call it cheap call
it smart idc its just my opinion. Honda civic si is better than the Mazda
2.5l. I would even go as far as saying Honda civic si is better than the
speed, honda's are better built and the tourque steer
@jsnevels2 Yeah they do have trans problems too, but I thought if you were
gonna consider an 02 Accord, you could also consider the TL. The trans tend
to fail around 50-70k so my guess is the ones with over that mileage should
be fine now. If you were gonna buy one just check the fluid and see how it
shifts and check the maintenance history. 06-07 Accord V6 is my favorite
too, I may think about trading in my 01 Accord for an 07 Accord too since
its cheaper than a new GTI or Focus lol
@TheWard55 damn that sucks with a MT too, have you ever gotten above 30 MPG
at all with that gas guzzling engine? lol Yes, I do know all about the
Skyactiv-G engine, seems promising, but i dont understand why Mazda still
has the old 2.0L and 2.5L engines still available for 2012... what also
pisses me off about the new motor is I cannot get dual zone auto temp
control and fog lights with the new skyactiv-g engine, you can only get
that with the thirsty 2.5L in S trims still...
@xoquixxoqafxo Ok, first I average around 25mpg in my Mazda because I live
in a small town. The thing that I don't like about Mazdas is the fact that
now they have come out with their skylar technology which is promising
40mpg without sacrificing any power. This is new for 2012. And the ride is
a little stiff but you don't nitice it that much as the driver. As for the
noise, well since I have the additional 10 speaker bose system in my Mazda
I don't hear wind to much. Haha
Someones mad. Mazda made the 2.0 in the focus and they share the same
chassis. The 2.5 gets 27 average if you drive normally which isnt bad. The
2.5 is detuned from the factory. If you like the pos 2.4 Si, then go buy
one and get made fun of by everyone. You also forgot the Si doesn't take 87
octane. I believe it needs 91. The Mazda handles so much better than a
civic anyway. Funny the 2.0 skyactiv takes 87 oct and gets better mpg with
more hp and tq than a 1.8 civic.
@xoquixxoqafxo i understand that the output/ fuel economy is dissapointing
but the SI is the equivalent of the speed3 anyways, its not really the
equivalent of the mazda 3 2.5. and although the focus has a nice interior,
mercmilan06's vids have kinda scared me off of those. also i had the focus
as a rental car, and i didnt like how the transmission shifted, plus i was
disappointed in the turning radius compared to the 3, and how cramped the
interior was.
I have a simply solution from Eric's problematic MFT Focus. Buy an SE hatch
with the sport package with the Manual transmission and its a great car.
Yeah the interior is a bit snug compared to the Mazda but honesty the
Mazdas interior is quite tight too especially in the back seat. The speed3
is way faster than an Si tho. I compare the Si to the regular 3 more bc
both can be used as a daily driver while the Speed3 is too harsh to be
driven everyday
@TheWard55 now im curious, what kind of MPG are you getting with that fat
2.5L engine and 6MT? My friend who has the blue one in this video only
averages 22 MPG in mostly around town driving... terrible IMO and not much
better than my Accord which gets 20 MPG in town with a freaking V6... I
know the Civic Si uses premium which does suck but i know most ppl get
around 27 MPG around town and 32 on the hwy, mazdas are just gas guzzlers i
think haha
The Focus ST looks like a boyracer car with a catfish for a mouth. Kind of
like a speed 3 with GV grille. But looks are subjective. The Focus ST has
240hp. Mazda3 had 260 and the torque is the same. ST is around 6 0-60 with
a 14.6 1/4, Speed3 is around 5.5 with a 1/4 in the high 13's. It's not
going to be faster. But you can spend you're cash however you want. Just
wait until Mazda uses the twin charger system they're developing.
@xoquixxoqafxo Now about 03 TL's I have heard bad things about the
transmission going out. Especially my aunts going out a 66,000miles then we
went to florida and it started slipping. The reason why I picked a 2001
maxima cause my cousin owned one and he put over 200k miles on it no
problems. Now I really do like the 06-07 accords ! the rear of the 03s just
look ugly in my opinion. But they are rare in alabama anyway.
OK maybe its not a gas guzzler but the EPA ratings of 22/29 for the 2.5L
5AT is pretty awful when an Si gets 22/31 with more hp. I just feel that
for the kind of power that engine puts out the MPG should be like 24/32 at
least and you have to admit for a 2.5L engine the output is a bit
disappointing. And honestly, the interior is nice but the Focus has an even
nicer interior and is just as much fun to drive
