+bobby milks Right on! Was born in the 50s first I heard his music on here, after watching the movie. Amazing to hear such a timely blend of exactly the right time and space.
I just watched Searching for Sugarman. The difference between Sixto and
Dylan is that Sixto didn't sell his soul to the devil. What a sweet,
brilliant, unpretentious man.
I love this guy. I'm 53. I grew up in Australia where my friends and I were
all wild fans of his from our teenage years onwards. He was extremely
popular in Australia and of course in South Africa. The music and his voice
are just fantastic. I travelled the world as a younger man and nobody ever
knew who this guy was.
Some dirt bag somewhere (who probably should be found and prosecuted if
he's still alive) was collecting this guys royalties for decades while
Rodriguez was doing it very hard for decades in Detroit!
I'm so glad he and his children can now benefit from his wonderful
creativity and truly unique voice.
I hope he lives long and enjoys his well deserved notoriety, finally!
+john lawson that "dirt bag" you talk about is the owner of the american record label who was interviewed in the documentary "searching for sugar man".according to the south-african record store owner's books that's whom they sent all the royalties to!
Why lol, save your sympathy for someone that actually gives a fuck, I like Rodriguez anyways so i really don't get your point, you think im sad is it, you don't know me and if you did you would not call me a sad man
I believe like you do and our freedom of choices are going to be
compromised with this new Obama care machine and why would this happen in a
free country .It's called the super rich and there need to control you so
they can control there continued greed for money . Older generations take
the drugs as they are told until they no longer have the brain to do so
then everything goes wrong and they are placed in the nursing homes and
they are not cheap but who cares its the tax payer who gets stuck with the
bill and the super rich machine continues till the early death comes to the
ones that followed the doctors meds to the T. Meds meds and more meds and x
rays and radiation well anyways I guess you get it and so do I and this
needs to be exposed more and more till the rest of the world gets it before
this mandatory requirements come upon us all. It is insane and out of
control and the super rich needs to stop there killing machines .
My husband and I love you, Doug! And Kyle, too! Thanks for being our
voice! We watch you every day! We share your opinion wholeheartedly on
this affordable care act! We are natural health people, too, and shouldn't
be penalized for it! Thanks for educating the world on how to be
healthier, without drugs! Keep up the good work!
really not looking for a textbook history lesson, looking for what is not
in your history timeline. written by the same kings who wish that ordinary
people do not know how they possess their power ie; lending money to the
public at interest. the only way central banking has operated thru history.
the control of the money supply is the problem. their is no free market
when central planners are in business. besides i asked you to email what
really happened dot com and respond to the originator
There is always a free market. In the heart of the USSR at Communism's peak
there was a thriving black market, its not something that can be truly
contained. Last time I checked the banks didn't force me to accept loans.
Even at interest Banks must compete for a market share, they are usually
the best option but not the only option. I can borrow from anyone (Willing
to lend) & not just cash. Free markets are flexible. Governments exist to
govern there is nothing secret or sinister about it.
The "Follow the money" method of historical study is the best means of
uncovering the truth about history but you have to be careful. Don't
reverse cause & effect. Or I should say whom ever it is putting together
these shows shouldn't put the cart in front of the horse. Spencer Perceval
the assassinated British PM was the one responsible for the Orders in
Council 1807. Which was one of supposed reasons for the 1812 war. His death
brought reforms which could have avoided the war.
All wars are financial at the core. That does not make bankers the kings
any more then the soldiers doing the fighting are the ones in charge. A
King with out banks is as helpless as a king with out soldiers & to a
degree a powerful bank has as much influence as a popular general to shape
policy. Some times the role are reversed. A General or Wealthy figure takes
power but fact is usually the mind set of a good general or Wealthy
merchant Can't be bothered with ruling peasants.
Oh My God! Where does this crap come from? I've never seen such a terrible
grasp of economic principles. All money is "debt" no matter who prints it.
Write an IOU to some one & you have just made your own money by indebting
yourself for what ever amount the IOU was for. The Interest on that debt is
what gives value to your currency. I keep your debt because the longer I do
the more interest it accumulates. Banks don't create wars. Wars create
banks.
This guy should have looked at the "War Hawks" (those Members of the US
congress pushing for war.) not the UK which was busy else where. They
didn't care about impressment or the British trade restrictions (OiC 1807).
Their motives for war was greed for North American land. That's why they
were killing off Natives. That's why they attacked Spanish Florida 3 months
before declaring war & invading British Canada.
keep up the research youll find better answers. your like talking to a
parrot spewing what they teach in grade school. lesson one in the real
world, its not like what they teach you. you have been indoctrinated to
believe any authority that they present in front of you. clue, turn off the
tv, question authority and learn to think for yourself. its much more
effective in the real world.
you should watch what really happened? all wars are bankers wars. remember
it caused, or lead up to the war. if you have any questions you will have
to what really happened dot com and email mike rivero the creator of the
piece.
Charles Dickens was born in 1812. Benjamin Franklin returned from England
to the colonies in 1775. The causal relationship you're suggesting at 1:07?
Yeah, not so much.
The war of 1812 was started by the USA to conquer Canada. Not Britain which
was fighting Napoleon. The rest of the historical details in this are
equally questionable.
