Interestingly enough, at our last event, several members of the International Socialists showed up and yelled racist slurs at a black man and two young black children, they called him "Uncle Tom" and "House Negro" ... do you defend and support this racism? Perhaps you should look deeper then the color of skin to the content of character ...

@breaktheirbones Hello. me asking the question if any one has nocticed that most of the Tea party people are white dose not mean that I hate white people, I was mearly asking a question and no, I do not condone calling black tea party people "Uncle Tom" and "House Negro" I would not call any one those names.

perhaps these "nutcases" are Americans. "disrupting the democratic process" I didn't realize that strongly disagreeing was a disruption of the democratic process... I guess I should just do whatever his majesty says and that would be more democratic. I made MY sign. I came up with my OWN questions. I am paid barely more than minimum wage and work for a non profit that helps developmentally disabled persons. I didn't realize that my asking questions at town halls was so agitating. My bad :-P

Democrats have become strident zealots in an effort to deny the First Amendment to their opponents. Obamanoids are desperate to control the debate and shut down the massive opposition consisting largely of normal middle class Americans who are outraged by Obamas rationed totalitarian health care plan. In order to control the issue and ram it through Congress, Obamas operatives are certainly not beyond employing brownshirt tactics used by the Nazis in Germany and Stalin in the Soviet Union.

You obviously have not really studied what kind of person Hitler was and how intensely he wanted to rule the world. Many of the things that Obama says are good for America were the same types of things that Hilter said was good for Germany. Government run health care is just one of them. Endoctrinating youths into thinking how you want them to think like some of these schools who seem so willing to push Obama's agenda. The youth of hilters time was indoctrinated in this same fashion. 1) Not every country runs universal healthcare the same way so you cannot lump them all together like that. 2) I lived under the healthcare of another country and no it was not true. My SO has also lived under that healthcare system most of his life and vehemently denies the claims of the right winters. 3) The dutch have radically canged their system over the past years so you are probably not aware of it. Their system has been widely praised..and is not fully government funded (only 62%)

You've been checking too many right wing sources. A lot of the info that you have received and stated there has been so distorted it isn't even funny. Each of those countries spends less on their health care per capita than we do. And we OBVIOUSLY have more problems than they do when it comes to coverage. I've lived under nationalized health care in Germany and what we offer doesn't hold a candle to theirs. So, spare me what you have read or heard from right wingers...I've lived there.

The VA works very well, having the highest rated care in your country. Medicare is for your seniors and, as far as I see, everybody thinks it's a good idea. Someone will have to pay for it, sure, but there is talk of a co-op public-private, though I don't think that there will be anyway of instituting this without some taxpayers footing the bill, but a 5th of your country are uninsured and at risk of dying from wholly treatable diseases. Reform is needed - what do you have against it?

It appears a good number of Americans have grave doubts about a proposed retooling of the American healthcare system that amounts to one fifth of the GNP. Instead of engaging that group of people--fellow Americans all--Speaker Pelosi instead demonizes them with absurd charges. Is it any wonder that when George Bush's approval numbers were the lowest, Congress's numbers were even lower? And is it any wonder that, under Pelosi's stewardship, the Congress is still held in such contempt?

She said, "They're carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a townhall meeting" which is true. We've been seeing this in the news. People are showing up at meetings carrying these things. If I said you were wearing a shirt, would I be accusing you of something? It's true that people are doing this, and so she's saying something that IS in fact true. Chill out you guys. I know you're going to spam this comment because you're actually AGAINST free speech, unless it agrees with you.

She didn't call anybody Nazis. She said they're CARRYING SWASTIKAS to the meetings. There are plenty of photos of angry protesters at these townhalls with SIGNS THAT HAVE SWASTIKAS ON THEM. Read that last part again. They had swastikas on their signs to compare Obamas health reform to the Nazi movement. She isn't saying that these people are Nazis. You are both missing the point and helping to spread a falsehood by continuing the discussion this way. Nobody called these folks Nazis.

Now, I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role politics played in that. But I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry with the Democrats; number two, that the Democrats acted stupidly in verbally attacking protestors; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there's a long history in this country of liberals being hypocrites disproportionately. That's just a fact.

Have you read the bill? Theoretically this is a single payer system that will destroy thousands upon thousands of jobs in the long run. The whole reason people want healthcare reform is because of cost, not quality. There is a reason why even moderate democrats are concerned about this bill, because the cost, in the long run, is unsustainable. If Obama raises taxes in order to pay for this, he can basically kiss his chances of being re-elected in 2012 goodbye

Yes I am intentionally being the way I am being. And I do know full well that the people showing up at town meetings that loudly voice their dissent are meetly particularly agitated Americans who feel they are being ignored and wrote off as paid agitators. I am not one one who is particularly loud in my dissent, but I do know many who are, and I assure you, they are in no way fiscally compensated for their efforts that many find agitating.

who's racist? Don't you agree that it is hyperbolic to accuse people of nazism when they've come to discuss healthcare? It is not twisting it to say that they were carrying swastika's to town halls - the fact they had a line through them does not make it any better, merely inferring that they consider those who don't agree with them to be nazis. Town halls should be about informed discussion, not hysterical accusation.

Well you either have the single payer government run option, or you raise taxes to pay for a public option to rival private insurance... which do you do? He already said that he's not raising taxes... I'm hoping he can clarify his plan for the American people, I actually would like to know the flow of cash and how this is being paid for to insure that this bill wont be paid for by selling our souls to China.

I never said anything about Obama talking to the public. I said pushing his agenda as well as others like you for instance pushing his agenda. I for one don't want public health care its a money pit. And I don't want my children and their children to pay for it. Why do you think so many other countries are now trying to get a way from public health care? Its a money pit.
