A good one. But it's not only for the jail prevention, what about the risk
of car accidents...injuries.. and vehicular deaths?

DUI Cops Dead End March 2012
If you drive impaired, law enforcement officers will find you, give you a field sobriety test, arrest you and take you to jail. Cops, past offenders and victims agree, ...
I'm an "offender," and I don't agree that it's "a dead end." I've been
investigated 3 times, why haven't I been arrested yet? I was 2-3 times the
limit when I got home. How is that? Because I wasn't impaired, that's why.
The ONLY sign I express is the odor on my breath. Even the nystagmus tests
normal. In a perfect world, 0.08% wouldn't apply to everyone equally. It's
rare, but some people aren't impaired at all. And saying "well, they're
alcoholics" is fallacious & doesn't address my argument.
Well at least you asked, since most people would make assumptions. The
actual reasons were no front plate, tinted windows, or once, going 30 in a
25 (residential). When they confronted me about the speeding, I explained
that I only sped up because I saw someone quickly approaching (turned out
it was them). I try to accommodate anyone who looks like they are in a big
hurry, but only within reason (just 5 mph over). I NEVER got a ticket in 17
yrs driving, btw.
The justice system is out there to enforce the laws, especially after
something so dangerous as drunk drivers and the the impact they have on the
roadways.
