I don't think you know as much as you think you know about guns. You fail
to mention primers or pistons in this video. You also don't know what a
keyhole is.
My cousin was trained to be a Machine gunner by JTF2 and he thought an AKM was chambered in 7.13mm. I'm sure Dan is great at his job and I love the channel but I'm just saying he said nothing other than the gas is pushing the bolt carrier back and ejecting the round. The round is ejected because of an extractor in the face of the bolt carrier and the bolt carrier is sent back because of a system called direct impingement where a piston pushed by the gas forces the carrier back. He also said a keyhole was when in full auto you shoot and it goes up and then back down. A keyhole is when usually because of something broken in the gun, bad ammo or the bullet penetrating cover the bullet loses stability and when it hits the target the bullet is sideways, making an impact in the shape of a keyhole, doing much more damage but losing significant amounts of accuracy in the tumbling.
not to be too critical of your skills at painting but..... i think you have
a few "runs" there, LMAO!! and the exit was the same size at the entry
hole? maybe the paint and the pressure in the can "followed" the bullet out
the back thus creating more outward thrust that way than from the entry
hole? anyway, aside from the technical mumbo jumbo and theories of why
things happen, what can i say but ----->>>> cool vid!!!
nice, people should start doing .22 videos like crazy, they keep gtting
more and more popular but there arent a whole lot of good videos, just 30
second clips of shaky range footage i wanna see someone try to make some
custom 22 ammo, undo some federal bulk and try to make birdshot sholls or
something
Paint went out the back due to the shape of the metal on the exit. Path of
least resistance. I like where you see the entry and exit and a split
second of no reaction. This could catch on as a new form of gangster
graffiti.
@NaplesSwampRat I used a .22 long, which is between a .22 short and a .22
LR. It's a really small bullet and is subsonic. I just stretched out some
explosion sound effects in the editor to make that weird sound track.
Another really cool thing to shoot is a can of great stuff foam insulation,
it does work better if it is shot by a bullet moving a bit faster than a
22, none the less it is still cool to see.
"What video camera do you use? What video camera do you use? What video
camera do you use?" That was pretty sweet, and we can measure the time it
takes for the chemicals to react. :D
@mxf7010g8k Maybe next time. I wasn't sure if the can would go flying off
and if it was on fire, I'd probably be telling everyone how I burned down
my house or something. hehe
@taofledermaus probably due to the bullet traveling in that direction
causing some slight suction that became more exaggerated by the pressures
in the can. at least imho.
sounds like you fired like, fifty times.. haha. i love slomo you should
prolly get me a copy of that camera you have after watching your videos, im
impressed
@djrocks122 Afterwards I thought of that, haha. I wasn't sure if the can
would fly real far though and I didn't want to start another big fire
again... haha
@007tallguy Not sure if the paint sloshed around in the can or why more of
it shot out the back. The delay before it started shooting out was
unexpected.
MegaGevehr actual dis-approves of this video on the grounds that precious
durakot wuz wasted. Looks like that spray cans reaction time was slow as
shit!
I couldn't of picked a better time to watch your videos. I bought a 94
civic vtec for $400.00 that was sitting for 7 years in Joshua Tree CA (
Desert ) with a blown head. The paint was so baked from the heat just
running your fingers over it would leave powder on them. I rebuilt the
motor and its all done I was contemplating on painting it until I started
watching your videos your the man!
@labreck67 Yes, you can wet sand and buff a single stage paint. If you keep
the car in the garage it will last a long time with single stage. If the
sun is always beating down on it, you might want to go with a base/clear.
Also factor in if the car is worth it and how long do you plan on keeping
it. Thanks
i'm trying to decide whether to use single stage or a base/clear.. the
base/clear is much more expensive but i'd like to know if you can wet sand
and buff a single stage paint? and ive heard it doesn't last as long as a
base/clear paintjob. roughly how long will it last? any help will be
appreciated!
@pajaro514 Talk to your local paint supply store. They can tell you what
paint to use that will fit in your budget. They are there to help out. I
have used Standox, PPG, House of kolor, DuPont and a few others. It just
depends on how much you want to spend.
@brothersretailers Send me an e-mail at [email protected] . I need to
know 10 coats of what? Did your clear come with a hardener? How old was the
hardener? and did you wait for it to flash between coats? what gun did you
use?
@Ivzbel I believe that was in part 2. I used a red or gray scuff pad. It is
way easier and faster with the same effect of sandpaper. You just need to
give it a good scuff for the paint to bite into. Thanks
I painted my car for the first time and its all dull and feels soft to the
touch... can also see zebra lines and i did like 10 coats.. just couldnt
see that well, not good enough lighting
Can you pleaaaaaaaaaaase mention my name in ONE of your videos just ONE my
