Hello, friends! I`m Anna Dianina and welcome to my channel. Look, I`m
standing next to the BF and today we`re speaking about it. Let`s get
started!
The BF is the most recognizable flag in the world. It`s very popular and
there`re many things with its picture on them, ex. dishes, btw. I`ve got
such a mug, but I don`t use it for drinking, I use it for keeping pens,
pencils, scissors and all that stuff. You can find the picture of the BF on
clothes, jewellery, manicure, etc.
Well, many people know this flag, but only few people know the history of
it. I`ll tell you about it in brief.
So, this is the national flag of the United Kingdom. It`s red, white and
blue. The BF is also called “The Union Jack”, i.e. the union of 3
countries: England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
If you look at the flag more attentively you can see 3 crosses on it. To
make it easier for you to understand I`ve prepared such flashcards. It`s a
red cross on a white field. It`s St. George`s cross, the patron of England.
The Scottish flag has got St. Andrew`s cross, the patron of Scotland. And
the last cross is St. Patrick`s cross, the patron of Northern Ireland.
And now some historical facts. In 1603 Яков, the king of Scotland, also
became the king of England. He had to rule both countries. As England and
Scotland had their own flags, it was decided to unite them. That`s why
later on the BF was called “The Union Jack”. “Jack” i.e. “Яков”.
After some time, the Northern part of Ireland was invaded and the third
cross appeared on the flag.
And only Wales (the fourth country of The United Kingdom) has got its own
flag “The Red Dragon”.
Well, that`s all for now. I hope everything is clear now and this
information is useful for you. If you like the video, give it a thumb up
and subscribe for my channel. See you later, bye!
The Union Flag - Fly The Flag the right way up

I believe it is the most beautiful and recognised flag in the world, there is no other like it, so much so Hawaii have put it on their flag which says something. The Union Flag may be found on the flag of many countries. donedw
The "Caribbean flag" gentleman is not comparing like with like. The site is
not in the Caribbean, and so there is no need for a Caribbean flag. And do
not get me started on that young woman and her "diversity" argument. At the
end of the day, it's Britain and entitled to its flag.
+Padraig Cronin "The African Caribbean population have contributed significantly to Britain's prosperity on a number of levels"Can you give some examples?
+Padraig Cronin"Mali empire"A Muslim empire. Mali was a Negro empire in the same way the Rhodesia was a Negro republic. Negros only maintain such societies when dominated by an alien race."Songhoi"That was an Arabic state. The man in the video is not Arab, he is Negro. His people did not create Songhoi."colonised by Europeans which dealt them a real setback."Quite the opposite. Europeans found the Negro in the stone age and took him to the space age.
+blackacidlizzard The African Caribbean population have contributed significantly to Britain's prosperity on a number of levels. Africans built flourishing kingdoms in medieval times (Mali empire, Songhoi empire etc) but had the bad luck to get colonised by Europeans which dealt them a real setback. I am not one of the send-them-all-back brigade, but do take issue with his attitude toward the Union Flag.
+Padraig Cronin It's very simple: he is not British, his people did not build Britain, his people are incapable of building anything like Britain, and his people should not be allowed in Britain.
There is nothing to be proud of anymore with this flag. Learn the real
history of Britain and its actions not the jingoist propaganda. And yes I
am British and both my Grand parents fought for Britain. That flag was
hijacked a long time ago. Time for Britain to be a Republic.
Until there is something better its necessary to do so, as there is no alternative. But Capitalism has been boom and bust many times and it will continue to be so until the final collapse. When that arrives people will have also changed. We can wait it will come. :) Hasta la victoria siempre!
+Peter Wilson "Capitalism has failed miserably " -posted to YouTube via iPhoneHaha ok pal, keep enjoying the benefits of Capitalism while complaining about it.
Listen Capitalism has had thousands of years and failed ,miserably How long has Communism been around what is most successful country on the planet China and a poor Communist country like Cuba has better health system and equal education to USA. You can come back in a decent amount of time and then make a comment Communism was only just born where as Capitalism is an Old and disabled!

The boy tells Vortigern that the white dragon symbolises the Saxons and that the red dragon symbolises the people of Vortigern. If Vortigern is accepted to have lived in the fifth century, then these people are the British whom the Saxons failed to subdue and who became the Welsh."
