As a fan of Tricky since his days in Massive Attack, the comparison is a weak one. I'd say this has far more in common with HEALTH or Fever Ray. Also, this is far better than anything Adrian has produced in a while.
Planningtorock much? Seriously: mask, androgynous vocal manipulation... The
song's okay. I hope the whole album isn't this repetitive, though. The last
album was so good. It seems everyone and their mother's doing a tracky,
loopy dance-music inspired album these days. Nothing wrong with that per
se—I've been a dance music fan since the early '90s—but each artist is
starting to look more lemming-like than the last.
You think that her voice sounds androgynous? Janine's voice is definitely androgynous but I disagree with this sounding like Planningtorock and I can definitely tell it is a female vocalist. I also disagree with this being a dance-music inspired song. If you actually listen to the lyrics of the song, the dark tones that are presented is wonderful art. It takes you to a scary place. Too many people pre-judge songs before trying to understand why they took the approach that they did.
Psygnosis Infestation game walkthrough and ending
Old Psygnosis Infestation game full walkthrough. An exploration game from the early nineties, which paved the way to the more recent open world games.
I watched you're video with great interest as I am it's author and
developed it for psygnosis around 1988. I was looking for it recently
because for the first time since then I am doing my own designs again and I
have come full circle.
Thank you, I enjoyed seeing it again and you covered in such excellent
detail and showed me things, like many of the terminals, that I'd forgotten
about.
+Foundation Worlds Then you're the one I've cursed so many times because we spent months trying to get to the end of it, and didn't managed to! At one point we could do the full maps with our eyes closed! when all we needed was to get outside and click esc... :P Took me almost 20 years to find out how to end it! We were looking for hidden keys to get off the planet on one of the ships, trying to find something hidden that wasn't on the map, and nothing... But I was also a little startled for not finding any videos or more info on the game, because even if it wasn't as known as doom or castle of wolfentstein, it was an interesting game (except for the guys with big eyes... they still scare me for being so hard to kill!). We could say it was one of the first "3d" exploration games, and I think dead space may have borrowed some ideas from it. I'm honoured to meet the author of this game, and dare to ask: why not to upgrade infestation? I'm sure you had more ideas for it, and that for the hardware at the time you used all you could... now, there are more tools to do it "better". and to make it more fun, like the original infestation had a meteoroid game on one of its computers on the 6th level, why not to put this game as a hidden gem on one of the terminals?...
