Fooling around on Micro Korg #2

+Jaime Robinson I attest to this as well. I'm a professional jazz pianist, and I just purchased a Kaossilator Pro and a MicroKorg Xl, and as someone extremely well educated in the field of improv, I still think this kind of playing would be and will be extremelyDifficult for me to learn. Adjusting to full synthesis will be a learning process.
+IRevos Another musician here. Dorian is self taught and was only 24 years old when he posted this, I guess you can tell by his piano technique. I don't think most pianists do this kind of stuff, and the reason is not skill but rather lack of knowledge about synthesis or electronics. Respect if you actually explore these kind of things and make the most out of the tools we have nowadays, but your comment is a little unnecessary anyway, as I believe you know music is not about skill.Regards!
+Jaime Robinson I do actually own a microkorg myself and i am able to improvise and tweak the sound in the same way he does it.Also pianists should be able to do what he does. The coordination needed to do this is equal to most of the pieces you learn in your first 2 years of playing. but thats just my subjective opinion.
+ctually most pianists can't do that, because most pianists aren't familiar with modulating a synthesizer... you do realize he is using pitch/mod-wheel/3 parameters for delay as well as changing the octave? based on the link you provided I highly doubt you could do that much while improvising. back to the lab fool!
+Zuni7712 https://soundcloud.com/projectalecto/oblivion-1/s-BXyqwIts not the same type of music, but its a little more complex harmonically. And the reason i said this in the first place is that FlyLo and other producers were way more advanced at that time.It is also really nothing special he does. Its just a modal improv. every pianist should be able to do that
