I watched this live at the theatre and sadly I found it rather disappointing, especially the representation of Edgar. :(

the same, especially the idea if lewy bodies dementia, if it is a case of mental illness  thtere is no personality of the King left

OH h yes, I'd like to see it but live in Gran Canaria and can't come to London at the moment. I wish National Theatre film versions of the plays were available in the Canary Islands or even on DVD.

+Ben A Yep! Hes a Shakespearean trained actor. And shares the throne with Patrick Stewart. After Fresh Prince ended, he went back home to England to continue doing what you see here. Joseph Marcell is legendary. And what makes this legendary is that this is the FIRST time King Lear has been played by a non-white actor. This is truly EPIC and has been received greatly.
