1997 Turbo Mercedes E320 vs. 2008 Mazda Miata Grand Touring stock.
Just foolin around. Buddy got a new car and I had my camera. I swear the miata feels faster than the mercedes. Mercedes E320 10 psi Garrett T3/60-1 Stock ...
buy one that sounds smooth with not many weird noises. Althnough older
benzes sound pretty loud, if you look at a few different ones from the same
model and hear a different sound, buy the one that sounds the least noisy.
I remember when i rebuilt my engine last year, it was noisey as hell.. it
was my first engine rebuilt on ANY car and i had no knowledge. Today 1 year
later, that same rebuild is driving me to work everyday and sounds half as
loud because i fixed things that i didnt know before.
yea and if you take care of you car, you wojn't need to go to the garage
like you do with a dodge or chrysler. I own a 1991 190e and i get my parts
from online, junkyard for unimportant parts, and small things i get at the
dealership. People saying it is costly to maintain a benz that is a myth.
You might pay more for a major repair, but chances are, that repair will
last you longer and be less costly in the end than the 2-3 repairs that you
will do on your dodge
really looking to do this with my e320 only place i can find for the kits
are turbo bandit but i hear turbo technics do one but not for my model . .
would love to pick your brain as to installing this on my own car. . love
the straight six pull and its not that heavy 1400 kg from stock so rip out
all the carpets and soundproofing back seats and bang track ready beast . .
.
Just because its a Mercedes doesn't mean its hard to work on. It had around
44K miles when this vid was shot. It was the day after it broke. It just
slips a lot because the auto clutches couldn't hold the power once the
tranny got hot. It took me a few hours to rebuild it, easy as sin.
I'm always tempted to buy an older MB but the repair cost, and possible
reliability issues (?) put me off. Can you tell me how you went about
learning to work on the MB? Also, which ones do you think are good buys in
general?
I was talking about the transmissions on the V6 are stronger. The engines
are about the same in strength and they both respond well to boost. What
makes the V6 better is the avalibilty of aftermarket tuning support.
@kerunchiu i don't know, my w124 with a light straight 6 and 4 speed tranny
feels pretty light on its feet. it carves pretty damn well for a sports
sedan... never driven a miata though... heard good things
my friend has this car and we were just talking about turbo charging it,
what all is needed to get it to run with a turbo from bone stock?? please
let me know im curious lol
Reliability is what MB is known for. They last forever. Repair costs at a
garage are high but if you it yourself it's quite inexpensive. I do all the
work on my own car.
It's about the same. Once you take out the airbox assembly out of the w210
sedans you see how much room there is. The 03+ w211 sedans have TONS of
room, its ridiculous.
I assumed it was a teg gsr and I've raced turbo versions of it. That being
said a turbo gsr is faster than a supercharged gsr running the same psi so
Im not worried....
Ha I wonder why you have tranny problems...How often do you change the
fluid? Unless you can rebuild it yourself be prepaired to lay down some
cash to have it fixed.
