The way a repair ticket is done by bell, technician calls ahead then knocks on door then proves service is good to demarcation point. If we cannot get a hold of the customer then we continue to the prem anyways and knock on the door. If no answer at the door we continue to the demarc to prove service is good, and if we're feeling nice afterwards we leave a 12084 sheet telling the 3rd party customer to call their ISP for another technician to come fix the issue inside. Thank god i haven't had to deal with a customer like this.. but there will always be unhappy people. Hint** we don't have to leave 12084 forms proving what we did on 3rd party job, that's just a curtsy if the technician feels nice.

What do you need to see his ID for? You're just power-tripping... like bad cops. You are obviously feeling the "rush" of berating another person who isn't able to push back, cuz you have captured them in a "gotcha" moment (in your mind) and you've got a puffed up chest and attitude. So if he shows you his ID... then what? What can you, a layman, do to verify it ? Meanwhile, a corporate vehicle is parked at your curb (lol - you recite the license plate... again, like a snobby power-tripping cop) - but yet again, what can you do to look it up ? You have a camera taking video, yet you deliberately speak the letters and numbers (so dude will hear you) for that extra power-tripping effect over the guy. PS: Unless you have your house paid-in-full (ie. zero mortgage) technically it's not "your property"... it's the bank's. When push comes to shove, miss two or three payments, and bam... your TENANCY (which is all you truly have... on loan) will quickly be revoked. So if you want to power-trip... get a little more into reality. Learn about the greys in life. Not everything is black and white, dude. Utilities and services coming into "your" property are partially THEIR property too (otherwise remove ALL of it and get off the fucking grid). If a pipe broke under your lawn... you had better believe backhoes will be digging an 8 foot pit in your front yard... and there will be NO FUCKING THING you can say or do about it. Learn about things called easements and right-of-ways. You already signed and agreed to those things in your Terms of Service, with Bell, for starters. Bell is only the beginning. Complete access to "your" property also comes from your electric, sewage, water, and telephone (if applicable). Even govt staff - like fire, police, paramedics, and the mailman. Deal with it. Now me, as a regular dude standing on your curb - I cannot come onto "your" property without your permission. That's the difference between me and the folks/services I mentioned.
