@JendrusZbojnik Speed-wise, yes. However, the SST (Surrounding Spar
Technology) frame leaves much to be desired. It's the easiest frame of all
utility ATVs to dent, twist, bend. There's a whole lot of information on
the ATV forum sites about how to modify the Can Am SST frame for more
strength. Why should I buy what is usually the most expensive ATV on the
market, then have to spend even more money to make it strong enough? I
don't like the Visco-Lok either. Give a selectable locker.
I have an 08 efi 750,and it has gone 6000 km with no trouble at all. And I
like to ride it like I stole it. This bike has been in the swamp till just
the handle bars where sticking out and rolled over a couple times. As long
as I stay away from them darn Canadian Can-ams This thing rules the trails.
is that while submerged in mud or just regular riding on trails. I was
thinking about buying another atv ,already have a KK 750 and this new BF
has my attention.
Georgia Hwy 28 takes you into Highlands, NC. It is a really nice ride for motorcycles and of course the Polaris Slingshot. This was taken from Warwoman Road ...
Sorry take another route argument isnt going to fly here.Considering where
I needed to be was right where the city chose to close down I'm afraid
taking another route wouldn't have helped me. Also hate to break it to you
but the world does have priorities especially in these rough economic
times. Mine being to keep my job cause I have people I need to support. We
cant do this for everyone.I sure dont see us doing this for our troops who
die while serving in Iraq. They are heros too.
Gracie, sounds like your busy life might need to be slowed down a bit, and
"shutting down those 'busy streets'" was just what was needed to jog your
attention. It takes that to look outside our personal comfort and to stop
long enough to show respect. An honorable society knows when to stop and be
quiet. I appreciate every firefighter or civilian who shows up to pay
respect for 1 or 100 fallen firefighters. That's what an honorable society
does - we collectively show respect.
What you still fail to realize is that they didn't die in the line of duty
doing something heroic. That is why so many people were angry about this
and found it unnecessary. You know they have funerals to you could go to
one if you want to honor someone. I get deployed once a month to serve my
country and help save lives of complete strangers. I sure hope you think
about shutting down a busy street for 4 hours to honor me and my buddies I
serve with if we ever die.
And to continue the last post, perhaps if the city decided to do a
procession to shut down the streets of downtown Medford for 1 or 2 hours on
a Saturday morning when people aren't trying to get to work maybe there
would be less argument towards this. But that's not the case here so I
found this to be over the line. Perhaps they should also try and do a
better job at warning people this was going down at least a week in
advance....
They did not die from running into a burning building to save someones life
while on duty. They died on their own time in an ATV accident. There's a
huge difference there. The city crossed the line when they failed to
acknowledge the difference and as a result they frustrated many people
including myself who were just trying to get to work on time but got held
up thanks to some memorial that was completely unnecessary.
Honoring fire fighters who die on or off duty is fine. However shutting
down busy city streets for 4 and a half hours and giving 2 fire fighters
who died on their own time a memorial equivalent to Princess Diana is not.
I can't image how much gas they wasted to send a fire truck from every
county in Oregon out here. Can't do this for every fire fighter... Were
they unclear were the line lay?
They were heroes. They had saved many lives while on the job. I would
imagine families of the many people that they saved would tell you to take
another route. They put their lives in danger to help or save others and
for some people like you Gracie, that is not worthy of a closed street and
having to divert traffic. The world's priorities can really scare me
sometimes.
In my opinion, this is total B.S. They did not die while doing their job,
it was their day off and they went to John's peak and were drinking and
drove their new ATV off the cliff. So streets are blocked off and a big
parade. I can see if they died fighting a fire, but not when they did
something stupid.
John Wells was a wonderful caring man with a beautiful wife and daughter.
He lost his other daughter to cancer when she was only 7 or 8 yrs old. He
would help many grieving parents that he encountered due to his line of
work. Really a great guy.
En regardant le Slingshot de Polaris, on se demande est-ce que c'est une moto ou une auto.
