+Steve Lattimer He just goes down there when ever he can for the show. He does spend allot of time with them, and helps them allot with their cars. But truth be told Lutz is making allot of money in OKC These days and in the south west regional in total. Wouldn't be surprised if he has a shop in that oklahoma texas region real soon.
For the life of me I just did not understand why they did not pull the
intake. Pulling a intake on a BBC is just not that big of deal and if you
are careful you won't even have to replace the intake gaskets if you want
to be a cheap skate and that sure beat the chance of tash dropping into a
cylinder etc.
+gullreefclub If you ask me, when does shavings fall down in there, I would want to shake that motor as little as possible to avoid that getting in there any deeper. thought there solution was the best tbh
+gullreefclub im guessing that this method was faster and since they do rebuild that motor so much then small aluminum shavings would not hurt anything. if it was me i would've pulled it but you never know.
+MrGoRdOnToYoU If the show is even half true Dave has had that engine apart at least 5 times since the show has been on TV so unless Dave or his engine builder uses monkey snot to glue his intake gaskets in place or uses cheap intake gaskets and gobs on RTV i would think intake gaskets should be able to be reused if they didn't tear them. Still even if he had to buy a set of intake gaskets that is a lot cheaper than taking the change of trash dropping into cylinder and really screwing something up but then again it not my engine and it is TV

+Josh Holt these guys say this is street racing, these are not street cars , and they wont run anyone else, except who they cheery pick, and your right , the cop scenes are bullshit, and the sponsors pay for the cars,
+cliff lynch The cop scenes on the show are all fake, and they are racing on a closed street course. The racing however is not fake. ...and sponsors? what TV show doesnt have sponsors?
"My opinion"....Big chief and the 405 crew love to win and to them that's
what it's all about,..."WINNING". These are still street cars not pro mods,
pro mods are like NHRA and are far more advanced, the key word here is
"STREET", these are Pro Street Cars. The CROW MOD is his own version of the
1st crow just with some "MOD"ifications. With that said....I love the show
and waiting on the new season to begin and i think the only thing on Big
Chief's mind is WINNING against Kye Kelly.
+swish 1223 actually 'promod' class carries a specific 'cert' which chiefs car has...so technically ,it is a promod,if he wants it to be. Same tubing specs, same trans, electrics, same safety equipment, same tires, wheels,etc...he doesnt have enough motor to compete ...but could qualify just the same.
