+Shauna AndersonI think, it is both, that toxic spill and HPV vaccination (genetic modified, mercury, nano particles, etc.) Maybe a detoxification (DMPS) will help.
Could this be related to vaccines? Noticing more with women than men.
HPV has started in the UN and abroad back in 2007. Just came from
Wikipedia, doing some research. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPV_vaccines
My 8 year old who has tourettes. This video is some examples of his wrist and finger tics. While they may seem harmless, they can be quite a problem when he is ...
I'd have to say that my sons most prominent tics over the years have
definitely been the head/neck rolls that I see your son doing at times in
this video, scrunching up his shoulders while tilting his head backward a
little and the subtle hand/finger flicks nothing else has really stuck
around for very long. They'll stop for periods of times and come back for
periods but the older he has gotten (with the help of my own knowledge from
having tics myself growing up) and a behavioral therapist he has been
seeing for over a year now he's now gone his longest spout without having
any for the past probably 5 months now except a few small ones once or
twice and thankfully without any types of prescription medications which i
know isn't always possible with everybody. I rarely have any of my own tic
outbursts now as an adult since figuring out what has worked best for
myself so that i have been able to keep control over them without bottling
myself up in the process (except for very stressful times where it will
take me a few short days to get my emotions together and my tics back under
control). It takes a lot of sheer will power as well to stop yourself from
doing what has been such a habit for so long but it is possible and i'm
slowly but surely starting to see my son learn do the same. You can imagine
we've had to learn a lot of patients and understanding in our household lol
as im sure all of us living with or living with someone with tics do :)
@purpleloover I feel sensations in my hands, face and back/shoulder area
that cause it. No I don't hide it in public. Its not bad but it is
noticeable. Friends and I laugh about it. I usually tick when I am nervous,
or eating. I recently started clearing my throat like non stop and I hate
that shit. I have bad sinuses and allergies that constantly drip but I'm
trying to teach myself to just swallow instead of clearing my throat so
much. Lastly, when I eat I sometimes stop breathing. Just a habit
@kr4yzi32k how old are you btw? i just got diagnosed with TS yest. and ive
had the mild symptoms since i was around 8, but weirdly when i started to
watch youtube vids of peepz with TS last year when i was 15 i started to
develop minor vocal tics and a head jerking tic? i really am baffled as to
if i had caused myself to tic more(like if i copied them) becoz seriously 2
tics arouse during the time i was researchin about medical stuff... or is
it maybe becoz i was stressing myself physically...
I don't have Tourette's, but I used to do (and still do) almost the same
hand/wrist ticks. I'll rub my fingers together multiple times until it
'feels right'. I also crack all my knuckles occasionally. I also press on
my thumbs with my index fingers. When I was younger I used to do those and
also flick my arms out to the side and blink sharply a lot. Also, when I
drive I'll drum my fingers.b And I don't even notice when I do most of
these things. I wish you good luck with your son. Best wishes~
@j4mes181 That makes sense, researchers are discovering that Tourettes is a
type of procedural Memory disorder, specifically it is your brain over
actively making a memory to do a tic. I try to help my son stop a tic as
soon as it starts, if that means taking cough medicine, to stop a cough, or
getting his neck adjusted cause it is bothering him, whatever, if he stops
the uncomfortable feeling, he will stop the repition, and the tic will not
last as long. He still cycles tics, they just change
How did the Dr. find out it was Tourettes? Did they check his brain? My son
has a Neroiglists apt. in June to see why he twitches his hands. He has
add,so they wanna know why he does this hand twitch before they put him on
any meds for add. They said the meds might make his twicth worse. This makes
me cry when he does it.The other day he was drinking from a cup & then his
hand twitched & he dropped his drink. Then he said, I'm sorry! Don't wip
me.It's so sad. He's only 4. My poor little boy!
My 10 yr ol has alot of the same symtoms. I just notice his tics about 6
mnths ago. The Dr. jus told me that it was a tic and that was it. I really
would like to know more about it. I would like to take him to a specialist.
I get mad at him for doing alot of the same things. Then again i feel bad
because he just cant help it. I will feel better if a specialist could tell
me thats wht he has. then i want be so hard on him.
@kr4yzi32k if i ould just ask... what makes you tic? and in a day how often
do you tic.. and can you try to supress them when you are in a public
place?... and finally do you feel a sensation while you tic... or do you
feel compelled to tic / like intetionally to fulfill a strain in the muscle
or sumthing like that.. sorry for askin so much im jsut new to these things
I have to flick my thumbs across my fingers all the time and squeeze in my
shoulder blade muscles, I only watched about 2 minutes of this and I could
tell it was probably tourette's. I'm not a doctor, but it seems to me that
this is what it may be I don't think it's anything to really worry about
though. Some people are just a lil twitchy.
the can be such a problem when he is trying to write. His test scores went
down significantly in the last year, when he has developed all of his hand
and wrist flexing tics. Now I understand why. I cant imagine trying to take
a test when you are constantly doing this. How hard to concentrate.
Wow, that was hard to watch. I hope he gets some relief at some point in
his life. Has he been tested for heavy metal toxicity? Kids who eat fish,
dairy, chicken or eggs could develop neuological problems because of the
high mercury and heavy metals in those foods.
my fingers, wrists and elbows are knackered from my tics, and it feels like
my knees and ankles are going the same way too. when i was thirteen i had
to take handwriting classes at school when i was thirteen, even though
there was nothing wrong with my spelling.
In my early 20's, and all I have left over are the finger flicks. They've
gotten extreme though, almost to a mechanical clutch kind of feel. Try and
find out how to keep his joints in good condition, the fingers are by far
the worst ones to go on, like mine.
I'm 39 and developed this disorder around 10 years old. Initially, I had
trichotillomania and still do. I seem to be able to control the tics more
so than the trich. I also have mild symptoms of ocd which also started as a
child ( counting etc).
@purpleloover I couldn't eat in public, and I couldn't be in a place where
there were a ton of people. Outside I was ok, but I couldn't be inside and
crowded. I am pretty much over those phobias though. However, I do still
have tics.
Movements from an OCD are due to the feeling of something catastrophic
happening if you don't do the ritual. Tics (like with Tourette) do not have
any logic behind them, other than the uncomfortable feeling at worst.
@kr4yzi32k omygosh... when ever i brush my teeth i tend to start ticking..
so i do the same thing.. i try to stop breathing..:) and my tics are not
that bad but same wiht you, it is noticeable.. thnks for helping
@purpleloover I am 28 and have been having tics since I was 15 and I know
exactly what caused it all to happen. I developed a social phobia and I
know what caused it. Its been a long road but I've dealt with it.
I do all of the same things with my hands, wrists, facial movements and
shoulder jerks. Its not as bad as it used to be but I think I have
tourettes but have never been professionally diagnosed.
I have the wrist flexing thing too!! I was wondering if there was anyone
else out there with that same tic. Anyways, sorry that's happening to your
son. I hope his tics get better!!!
he's playing stick wars!!!!!!!! i love that game. i have stomach and nose
tics. but it all seems to go away when i put a pair of drum sticks in my
hands and play away =)
