Venice has some very nice beaches. I have a shot of Venice Pier on my
Florida Beaches 1. Nice wide beaches with grassy dunes - not overly
developed. As for Palm Beach, this is where Trump has his mansion - very
rich - overly developed nice beach for being on the east coast. Use google
maps and turn on photos, you can drive down the coast - same with youtube -
just type in a beach and you'll be there. Note, Im trying to find empty
secluded beaches. I liked Key Biscayne & Bill Baggs Park.
hey so what do you think of venice beach and palm beach? i've been wanting
to go on vacation with my family and i've been dying to go to florida's
beaches. i did send you a message on another video i know, but what do you
think is the best beach on the non gulf side with good and cheap hotels. im
talking aboout YOUR personal preference, considering the hotels quality and
cheapness. (if that's even a word) thank you soo much and i appreciate you
answering all the messages lol
@wavesdvdcom I was there at the end of July '11 and you're right seaweed
has taken over the place. I asked to rangers but I don't believe they clean
up seaweed. Also, a lot of sea grass. We were on the beach early in the
a.m. and saw 2 dolphins about 5 ft away. Camping was great. I really miss
it. The sound in the vid reminds me of those cds of the ocean you put on to
help you fall asleep.
Park is very nice , best camping spots in the keys , lots of activities
including the looe key tour .. BUT yes beach is all seaweed .. Park ranger
said they dont clean it cause thats fishes habitat ... Come on ... dead
seaweed in the shores is fish Habitat ...... any way it was a great place
... Dont forget to go the deer refugee .. 7 miles south bahia honda
If you want a clean shoot in Fort Jefferson either take the seaplane it
arrives before the ferry (45 min trip and only 10 people on the island ) Or
you may considerate to camp , which is very nice for sunset shoots , once
the ferry departs there are only a few campers in the whole island ... BTW
for camp you need to bring everything , even the water
@ftlguy3696 - Sorry but this was Bahia Honda almost 10 years ago. Now, it
is full of sea weed and unshootable for my new Florida Beaches 2 DVD coming
soon. This is the southern tip from the parking lot about a 1/4 mile, now
with tons of people walking and sitting there as of 2010.
The problem with the popular tourist places, is that they have too many
people to try to shoot a clean a shot. I have seen both locations on TV,
but decided to skip them for the effort as you say and too many tourists.
That's why you will never see me shoot Waikiki.
I've chartered boats in the Bahamas, but planes? that would be a first. 8-)
I think, I'll save my money for the upcoming Caribbean shoot. Thanks
though, I'm sure there are some nice Fort Jefferson videos on youtube to
enjoy.
Agreed. I was very sad to return to a crowded beach with seaweed everywhere
unable to shoot. Even in LA, they use tractors to clean the beaches of
trash and or build berms when el Nino comes.
I used to go to this beach 2-3 months during the 18 years that I lived in S
Florida. Bahia Honda is a 10 hour drive from where I live now. I sure miss
going there ;-( Thanks for the post!
