(( Since this is my last year of acting, I decided to re-shareing some of the videos I was in. I will try to do it 3 times a day. )) This 4th video I'm sharing, I came up with this idea with one of my friend. Didn't go as well as I thought it will go. I guess I should edited it more. For anyone who studies scripture, there are several key passages that tie into a deceptive agenda. If the excistence of alien is a deception then, it makes perfect sense that it will cause the entire world to turn against anyone who is Christian and otherwise opposed to the idea of an alien life form. What I mean by that is that the bible teaches that a fallen angel can asume any form or shape. There for, what I meant that God will lift the veil in the bible on several occasions. "And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations" Isaiah 25:7. To me, it seams as it means to take the cover away from all people so they can see the deception that will make many people not follow God. And to tie into your other video about Putin being the real hero of Syria, he seams to fall into the phrophesy of the book of Daniel where the king of the south will fight the king of the north. In Daniel 11:40 Daniel 11:40And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. Who's taking on Isis and the Islamic countries?.Russia. I am. It saying that it's accurate but it does fit the profile. So there for a great deception is about to happen that will cause the Christian persecution. Imagine what an atheist will say to a Christian, "here are the aliens, where is your God?!" What do you think will happen to the Christians then?

+Amos Dotl I have two science degrees and am educated.  Even being educated, I have so much more to learn.  These degrees have been a blessing because it has allowed me to take what I have learned and apply it to other subjects such as theology.  Science has been wrong in so many areas, but the masses accept it.  Once you question the status quo and apply God's Word, it is amazing at how much discovery is just waiting for all of us.  While he may not believe, I can respect that.  I believe God has a plan for all of us.  I pray that as a Christian, I can be a good steward of God.  I don't want to insult the man, but I do want to be polite and be a good example (good Christian).  I once was lacked faith, but I asked God to show me truth.  Once I asked for truth, it poured out like a flood of information.  I am in my 40's now and ever since I was 18, God revealed Himself to me, and I have not doubted since.  I wish everyone would ask God to do the same for them.  I have no doubt He would reveal Himself.  We all have our own paths, and I believe God uses all of us.  He is also using Chuck in ways we don't know about.  All we can do is pray for him and have faith will work in his life.

+Ryan Hammer You are talking about a fully enforced secular society.  The problem with fully enforced secular society is it becomes Orwellian.  We have seen examples of this with Russia, China, and North Korea.  It does not work.  I believe a society that allows one to worship his or her God is real freedom.  I don't believe that just because it feels good do it is good for a society.  We have seen this from the left for years and now look at the world.  As for the "We are all our own Gods", that is actually a tenant of Satanism.  Yes, most atheist follow this ideology.  The problem with science is most of it is a consensus and when challenged, if it does not fit within the status quo, then it is rejected.  For example, science claims that life began about 50 million years ago.  The fact that they always dismiss is the fact that the sun has shrunk by 1% every thousand years.  So if that is true, then life could not be sustainable 50 million years ago.  The earth would have been nothing but lava.  They also acknowledge that the microcosm and macrocosm are  both finite.  If that is true, then we are living inside of another reality.  I don't recall the mathematician who discovered this, but this discovery caused him to commit suicide because he could not fathom the findings.  There are many ways to prove that God exists, but many don't want to look at the facts.  The simple cell, which is actually no a simple cell is so complex that it could not have been a random matter of chance.  The fact that it creates the 20 different amino acids that are required to define life is astonishing.  The simple cell works like a machine, or even better like a small city.  It all works on binary programming.  99% of all simple cells are defined to be left sided.  That alone shows that they are designed and not random.  If they were random, then 50% would be right sided, and the other half left sided.  Then they would just cancel each other out and life would not exist.  The odds of this being random are 1 to the 650 to the power of 10.  In science, anything that is larger than 1 to 50 to the power of 10 is absurd.  This is scientific notation that I am talking about, so that is 650 zeros after the integer number 1.  I personally have a guide to live my life, and most of the world lives by these general rules.  For a world to decide on their own what is right and wrong would be a pretty bad world.  Morality of the left is very questionable.  It has led to a lot of mass murder in the name of secularism.   

It's the great part of life. We all are our own gods in the sense of an atheist because they think we pray to ourselves. So when things change they believe we did which I guess makes sense to a scientist. Whatever you believe is true until proven otherwise. Anyone will a good soul can feel the source within. I just know we don't need God to change this world. WE need to stand together and keep giving back to others and change the world ourselves one day at a time.

+Ryan Hammer I respectfully disagree.  There is actual truth, the key is how to find it.  I don't believe in moral relativism.  I also believe that is too simplistic of an answer.  I have heard this argument before, but again too sophomoric.  Religion can be a very good thing, but if we have a group that radicalizes the religion, or not follow its construct, in examples of the Jesuits, and the inquisition, then it is bad.  Another example is radical Islam.  Any ideology that seeks power grabs can be bad.  While Communism abolished religion, unfortunately it was a radical ideology and communism and the spread of that ideology has killed more people in the history of the world than all religious wars combined, but so many overlook this fact.  The most dangerous place to be in America today is the mothers womb.  It is another example of how the laws of secularism is far more destructive than that of those who believe in God.  1 in 4 babies are murdered in the womb of a mother.  That is defiantly not a religious ideal.  Christians have donated more to the poor than secularist do, and have done more to help society than the leftist counterparts.  That is never talked about by the secularist's or by the left leaning media.  I know it is popular to say that religion is bad, and that is the hype we hear today.  That is OK, because Jesus even said "They hate me, so they will also hate you", and that message resonates more today than it ever has in history.   The truth is Christianity is under attack today by the whole world.  In the Middle East we see Christians being beheaded, and their weal confiscated by the radical Islamism.  In America, we see Christians being jailed for following God.  We have a government that is stomping all over Christians Constitutional rights, and freedom to practice their religion.  We see it in schools, in public forums, and it will be just a matter of time before the different churches are attacked.  The 1st amendment is first because it is the most important.  Once it is removed, then the rest of the constitution will be demolished.  Good luck.

+Ryan Hammer I have to disagree respectfully.  I take the bible seriously, but many don't know how to study it.  Also many don't understand that one must understand Greek, Latin, and Hebrew to get full understanding, or at very least as close to truth or interoperation as possible. The more I study the Bible, and read prophecy, the more I take it literally.  I have a problem with organized religion too, because I assure you that 99% of them follow their own ideology, and will very rarely stray from it even when they are presented with the truth. As for demons, I have faced demons.  I assure you they are not controlling my life.  I have seen them face to face and always battled them with the name of Jesus.  Thank God they no longer give me night terrors because it is a very scary reality.  They did this when I first gave my life to Christ.  I prayed when I first gave my life to Christ to show me truth no matter what.  That is when things in the Bible were revealed to me, and it was quite eye opening.  Not saying that I am a Biblical Scholar, because I am not, but when reading the Bible, one must as for guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Those who read the Bible without the guidance of the Holy Spirit misinterpret much of it.  It is amazing when God reveals certain things.  I believe that God's word was writing and every letter, and every space was placed their by a divine hand.  Every bit has a meaning.  What is amazing is we are living in the days that the Bible talks about more than in any other day.  Another amazing thing is the prophecies that have been fulfilled are so astronomical that it can't be a coincidence.  I would encourage you to listen to Chuck Missler.  He is a great teacher, and he applies both math and science to the Bible.  I don't know what church he belongs to, in fact I believe he is non-denominational.  He also has the attitude of "don't believe me because I say it, but read and find out for yourself".  That is very appealing to me.

If anything earth is hell. We worship higher beings because were raised too. We don't do things ourselves. If 6 billion people sat at once and thought good thoughts the whole world would change overnight. That's physics it's not a theory. I fully believe in God. Religion has done nothing but divide us which proves it's not truthful. Who ever wrote the bible and all those religious books could have been demons themselves my friend. I think people think they're demons because of how you imagine them appearing physically. I believe the bible talks about a specific type of being. Maybe an inter dimensional being like you said. We live in a 3D world. I believe it's higher density beings opposed to inter dimensional beings. They're are evil ones and obviously good ones. But what you don't realize is the so called demons you're talking about, are controlling your life right now.

+Ryan Hammer so do you believe aliens are real?  I don't believe they are intergalactic, but are inter-dimensional.  I believe these so called aliens are Satanic in nature and could be the return of the nephilim.  I have said for a very long time that the Catholic Church is the false church.  Just look at their history.  It is well written about in Revelation's, when it speaks about the 7 church's, 7 pillars and the 7 letters.  The Catholic Church is so entrenched with paganism, the sad thing is Catholasism is the lazy Christians choice because they don't have to work hard on a personal relationship with God, and they follow blindly.  They break many of the 10 commandments such as not following God's commandment's to keep the Sabbath, or the commandment and laws against praying to angels or dead people, such as saints and Christ's mother Mary.  It goes much deeper than this though.  I pray for the Catholics, but it is very clear in the 7 letters that this church will be destined to go through the great tribulation.  Jesus fore-warns 4 of the 7 churches that if they did not change their ways and teachings that they would go through the great tribulation.  I would not want to go through that age in time, it will be very bad for Christians, but even worse is they will also be sent this great delusion God warns about.  We live in very interesting, but very strange times.

OK, let's assume that he's dead serious. Let's also assume that the show really is the "inner dialog that goes on in the heads of many." This is essentially the Tyler Perry defense. He's giving people what they want, and it's unquestionably popular. Why bother thinking critically about it? Why be a wet blanket and demand a fairer depiction of the culture I identify with? I, for one, loathe complacency with media; it's not too much to ask BBT to be true in personal experiences AND in portrayals.

2:08 - Cogent criticism of the heart of what's wrong with Big Bang Theory, that it very much conforms to stereotypes. Response: It's making geekdom and fandom popular in prime time. Okay, sure, we have this new kind of chic geek, and Big Bang Theory is representational of a cultural shift, but 1) the show is mimetic of, and not responsible for, that shift, and 2) that doesn't change the fact that its stereotypes are consummately regressive, not just of its geeks but its females and non-geeks.

i think that you are starting from a false proposition, because this is a comic show, and is assumed to represent the extreme of any kind of behavior in order to be funny, like any funny show, and in general dont think that too many people will take what is portrayed in a comic fictional show as true, at least in my country. In the same line so we must assume that all the posdoc people does not do any work like you put in your comic?NO, is just an absurd in order to make the whole thing funny

Many many people watch this show. Kids will grow up seeing it because their parents think it's hilarious. I think that makes it fair to wonder about the role models being presented to kids about science and especially women in science. Are there any positive female role models in the show? Fowler is arrogant, socially inept, and uncomfortable with any kind of sexuality...are little girls going to be inspired to be like her? Scientists are real people - I think that's all anyone's saying here.

It seems we agree that 1) The show is popular in part because many identify with its characters, and 2) Its portrayals fall to (constant) stereotyping. My previous two comments argue that the stereotyping renders the mass appeal fruitless, essentially removing from the show any positives it might otherwise have. Here I believe we disagree. If it weren't for a 500 character limit, I would explain how criticism is more than mere evaluation. Also, a critique can be scathing and still be valid.

I'm doing a masters in maths and I've got to say, social ineptness is not exactly a guaranteed trait among lecturers, but it is by no means rare. I find these criticisms of negative stereotypes as kind of harsh to people who do fall into these categories. It's calling their personality a bad thing. The creator of the show said the show is based on his real life experience living with physics masters. The show's saying that the stereotypes exist, but there's nothing wrong with being nerdy.

I agree with your comment about the negative view of scientists on Big Bang Theory. I don't think that the problem is girls aspiring to be like the Fowler character, I think it's that little girls may think that all women in science are like Fowler. That may turn off more girls to science because they won't be able to identify with her personality traits and think, "Well, I'm not like that, maybe I wouldn't be a good fit for STEM programs. Plus, I wouldn't have any friends..."

However I also think that 7:22 is also a representation of why the show is also popular among some scientists. While the show deals in broad stereotypes, the characters also voice the inner dialog that goes on in the heads of many. Crystal may not have thought that he was socially awkward or physically unattractive, but that's what goes on inside his own head. BBT can represent some of the personal experiences of real people while not necessarily portraying real people.

C'mon TBBT is popular because there are people in real life that are exactly like them (I know one or two Sheldons myself) so maybe you are a scientist and not socially inept, good for you, but that isn't so funny. I mean what do you want people? to have a show about boring people doing boring work at a boring lab?, I prefer these so called stereotypes doing interesting things as some people in real life do. It is ok if you don't like the show, but just shut up!!!!!

If we're doing critical analysis, it requires more than just complaining about it's flaws. I did not object to the flaws you found, I was simply trying to point out a contrasting positive aspect. The purpose for writing a critique is to evaluate somebody's work (a book, an essay, a movie, a painting...) in order to increase the reader's understanding of it. A critical analysis is subjective writing because it expresses the writer's opinion or evaluation of a text.

I like the early episodes of Big-bang before they had girlfriends and started to get married. What I don't like is how they portray Ph.D's as super-geniuses who know everything about everything. When people find out that I am a doctor (D.Sc) they say "oh, so you're really smart like Sheldon" and I have to correct them by saying I am only a normal genius. :-) You can have an IQ of 110 and still earn a Ph.D. and have no clue how a quantum computer works.

you know whats absurd? im a stay at home dad with a passion for science. i have nothing more than a high school education and i understand and identify with 90% of the technical jargon in big bang. just from staying informed. but if i watch it with someone else i find they tend to ask me to elaborate if they even care to understand. which to a degree is flattering but even more so im saddened by peoples disinterest.

I don't believe that not indentifying with certain characters in the show would actually turn people off from science in real life. In fact, having stereotypes that's out there and so represented by the show only makes it easier for people to take a closer look and realize that something is indeed wrong, and some might even try to challenge those stereotypes by going into science themselves.

The apparent fact that Ms. Dilworth is so concerned by stereotypes about female scientists and scientists in general is just weird to me. Who cares? Why would you want to be liked by anyone who subscribes to them anyways? The fact that there is a fully paid professorship for "media studies" anywhere is, I suppose, a tribute to heady optimism ... much like Larkin's poem "Compline".

I think I understand what Dilworth is saying because as a woman scientist, it could be hard for her to be taken as seriously as an Amy Farah Fowler-type would be because Dilworth (imo) is more conventionally attractive than the character is. By perpetuating the stereotype that Fowler is what all or most neurobiologists look like, it harms her personally. Much to think about.

Working in laser physics, I guess Leonard is supposed to be close to me. But I don't take offence, stereotypes are amusing once people take them at face value. My only issue would be expectation of the singular focus Crystal mentioned. It did take me a few years to be okay with the comparison though and laugh it off.

if they were interested in such topics my perspective would be unnecessary. even more bothersome is this guys egotistical perspective. its not being a fan if youre being a fan only to flaunt it in front of others. "my fandom > than yours" childish.
